TW: Dog death/animal neglect
Barbie is gone. She passed on April 16, 2024 at about 3:00pm with suspicion of heatstroke. She suffered great amounts of neglect at the hands of Ally Gibson.
I do not agree nor support Ally’s actions and have remained silent publicly until I had as much truthful information possible as to what happened to Barbie. As well as to working with the breeders of her other dogs to find a safe place for them outside of Ally’s care and home.
Security footage showed Barbie along with the rest of Ally’s dogs including Sinatra were left in a hot car for over 13 hours overnight and until 1pm in the afternoon the next day in 88 degree heat while Ally slept inside an AirBnB near Cadiz, KY after UPDIF. She was not pottied, given water, nor was the car running with A/C. The doors were cracked open.
After driving away, Ally said she smelled p**p and pulled over at a Loves gas station. Ally said she checked on Barbie, that she was alive but her eyes were glazed over and she was covered in her f***s. Ally said she went inside Loves to buy herself a drink and food. When she came out and checked on Barbie again, Barbie had begun seizing. Ally claims to have taken her out of the crate and put her under the non potable water hose in the Loves gas station to try and cool her off.
Unfortunately, for Barbie it was much too late and she had passed away at that time. Ally at the time said no vet nearby can do a cremation. She later said she did not have enough money to get a necropsy so she took her to a crematory to be cremated instead. Location of crematory is unknown. I have contacted and updated Barbie’s breeder personally so she can know the full truth of this situation.
Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation going on, this is all I am able to share. If anyone has any other information I urge you to come forward at this time.
DO NOT message Ally Gibson with any talk of ill intentions towards her or her family. Justice system is doing their job.
