Mark your calendars! We are celebrating Australia Day a day early on 25 January at Yuna Community Centre this year. Come down and join us for a free meal where the 2024 Australia Day Award winners will be announced. The swimming pool will be open so come make a splash!

Over 600 participants saw the Valley in all its glory today as they cycled or ran in the 2023 Backroads Gravel event held in Nabawa. 🚴 🏃‍♀️
The Shire is exceptionally proud to host this local event and showcase our gorgeous fields of yellow and green to so many. 🌾
We hope everyone had a fantastic time at today’s event- we look forward to seeing you again in 2024!

This was copied and edited for my cats, from Luxafel Ragdolls with their permission - because everyone needs to know what ethical is:

Sadly not all “breeders” are created equal.
It is illegal here to sell a kitten;
-without a microchip.
As part of my code of ethics, you cannot sell a kitten;
-before 8 weeks old,
-to a pet shop or similar
-have a 'fire' sale
It’s extremely unethical to sell a kitten before;
- they are 12 weeks old,
-they’ve had 2 vaccinations,
-they’ve been desexed.
*Early desexing is common practise now, if a breeder says “they can’t be desexed until 6 months”, that is not true at all!! That’s just an excuse to save them money on vet fees.
***AND If the kitten you are buying is too small to be desexed, then it’s too small to sell and you should avoid that breeder🤬 No ethical registered breeder sells undesexed kittens ever to pet buyers.
If you don’t support the good ethical registered breeders trying to do the right thing, they will disappear and who will you be left with then? The bad ones. You’ll end up buying kittens that are sick and die far too soon from preventable illnesses.
Please don’t choose the “cheaper option” It’s not cheaper in the long run.
