Kitty Cat Haven Hi, my name is Rae and I love kitty cats. I recently began doing TNR work in my neighborhood. TNR stands for Trap, Neuter, Return. Updates to come...

There are a lot of community cats in my area. Community cats are also known as feral cats, unowned cats who live outdoors. They can live full, healthy lives with their feline families, called colonies, in their outdoor homes. TNR work involves humanely trapping the cats, taking them to the vet to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and eartipped. Ear tipped means - the tip of the left ear is clipped at

an angle. That is the universal sign that a cat is neutered / spayed and part of a TNR program. TNR improves cats' lives and provides an effective, humane and collaborative way for communities to coexist with cats. The funds will go toward surgeries/vet expenses. I began this work in March and I have fixed six cats so far. I will be able to fix one per week at $85 per cat until they are all fixed :) This goal amount is calculated by multiplying $85 x 4 = $340 (that is four cats per month), then $340 x 3 (every 3 months or quarterly) = $1020 per quarter.

Here is Helen, my sweet friend from the colony I help care for. She started out with undeveloped eyes that had to be removed. She recovered very well. She is learning to live in a home with people and she is currently becoming friends with another one of my kitties named Bella. She is so sweet. I hope to find a kind, loving home for her.
