Oct 26 - 💞Brady Update 💞

We all watched Brady story from start to finish anxiously waiting for the day he would FINALLY settle and be safely secured and going home to his family. That was two weeks ago today, Oct 12th ‼️

The latest update from Brady's owners:

Brady is doing great. He’s starting to put some weight back on and not feel so boney. He’s still a giant piece of Velcro and wants to be cuddled at all times. And gives us VERY EXCITED greetings when we come home. Even if we’ve only been gone for 2 minutes !!
And Brady now wears a GPS collar so this never happens again!!🥰

Oct 16 🥰Brady Visit Today🥰

It was SUCH a nice visit!! Nice to see him lounging on the sofa in a warm house, with food in his belly surrounded by his people. 💖

Healthwise, Brady is doing well. Still sleepy, but overall really good! All bloodwork came back good. He is still on a slow and steady meal plan for gradual weight gain and to aid his digestive system.

Since Brady's big Adventure he wants Amanda/Dave in the same room as he is AT ALL TIMES. If one of them leaves... He is sitting up and waiting and watching. If they both leave, Brady will go to corral them to say "Come on, I want you in here", and if Amanda/Dave are separate rooms, he will lay down somewhere in the middle to keep an eye on both of them. He knows he has a good thing! 😍

After 40 days, Brady is living the HIGH LIFE!!
Amanda and Dave cannot get enough of Brady Love and Brady cannot get enough of them!!
🙌 LIFE IS GOOD 🙌

Oct 14 - 🥰 BRADY is FAMOUS!! 🥰

If you have not heard the amazing interview with 98.3 and Dave Hallet, you can listen to it now!!

We LOVE the fact, Dave hit on some IMPORTANT points all dog owners, potential adopters, and fosters should remember.
Do you know what it is? If you answered FLIGHT MODE - you are correct!! Always good information to have in your toolbox for those just incase moments.

For those of you following Brady's Adventure, you were there for all the lows but when the HIGHS came in - THEY WERE HIGH and lifted our hopes!! 💫

Oct 13 - 🙌LIFE IS GOOD 🙌

Couple of updates:

Brady's vet appointment went well. Overall he is in good health for fending for himself for 40 days. Before he went travelling the countryside, he weighed 43kg (94 lbs ) and now is he 32kg (71 lbs).

Surprisingly, he had zero live ticks or remnants. Waiting on the blood/urine results. He is being treated for any worms he may have contracted.

He had one small porcupine quill stuck in his gums, likely from a road kill snack. ��They have taken out what feels like 1000 burrs and there’s still lots to come out.

Brady requires a HIGH FAT, LOW CARB diet. So for the first week, he only be feed 25-30% of his optimal caloric intake. They said the goal is for him to actually NOT put on much weight at all in the next week. Slow and steady. ��

Oct 12 - ❤️ Brady says THANK YOU ❤️

Thank you for helping me find my people. I was SO lost and SO scared. I just wanted to run. Run from anything and everyone. AKA: FLIGHT MODE

I could see people were trying to help but I was not in my right state of mind. They tell me, it's called primal instincts. They described it like a switch that goes off in my head and I am no longer a pet. Sounds weird to me but I am sorry. Sorry for running away but it was the only thing I knew to do.

I must say it feels soooo good being home. I have been Amanda's and Dave's shadow since we stepped foot in the house. I don't know what it is but I cannot leave their sides. It just feels sooo good. 💖

I am getting sleepy. My eyes are heavy and I want to rest my head. OH, one last thing before I turn in for the night, I am forever grateful for each and everyone of you. Thank you.

Oct 12 - ‼️ BRADY SAFE & SECURE AFTER 40 DAYS ‼️

Yes, FINALLY!! After 40 days of traveling the countryside Brady went on quite the adventure. Starting from Sydenham, Hartington, Verona, Moscow, Enterprise, Newburgh, and lastly Tyendinaga to where he finally settled. Travelling well over 100k since Sep 2-Oct 12/22. This boy is going home tonight!! AMEN! 🙏

We could not have done this without the help of Quinte West Lost Paws. Brady landed 30 minutes from QWLP home base and they jumped into action. Their XXL trap was set up early today and this evening the magic happened!! HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD!! 🙏

We could not have successfully secured Brady without your help!
Calling in sightings, with detailed information and a photo is the absolute key!! Thank you!

October 11 update, more good news!!!!

We have an idea of where Brady is staying the last few days and his team have had eyes on him several times today, this is great!! This IS a process and it’s the longest he’s stayed in 1 spot….that’s huge! And again for Brady’s safety we can not disclose his location as you can well understand!! Thank you SO much for all the Brady Love and keep sharing and reporting sightings to the phone number on flyer!!!

Oct 10 - Some Good News

We have an idea of where Brady is... just have to hope he has not moved out of the area.
Cameras and a feeding station have been set.

For the safety of Brady, we CAN NOT / WILL NOT DISCLOSE the location.
Thank you all for understanding but Brady's safety is of the utmost importance.

Please continue to call in sightings (with a photo) as quickly as possible. Sightings are key!!

Oct 9 - To help you understand

Typically, a lost dog will settle into an area where there is food/water/shelter. This generates repeat sightings and makes it easier to secure.

Brady has never visited the same place twice. He is sighted then, he moves on. Hence, the distance he has travelled.

The behavior Brady is exhibiting is not uncommon for Bernese Mountain Dogs.

He will soon be getting tired then he will stay in an area where he feels safe. This is when we set live traps, cameras.

Oct 7 - CALL OUT FOR EYES 👀 Newburgh, Strathcona, Napanee, Marysville, Shannonville and area...

Last seen CONFIRMED (WITH PHOTO) this morning at 7:30am at EMBURY RD/CTY 11 NEWBURGH. Then possibly another at 8:30am CTY RD11 (Goodyear) and Strathcona rd.

Brady's Dad is in the area.
He is waiting for another sighting.
Call with location and please if possible keep your eyes on him until Davey Hallett gets there.

Oct 2/22 - 3 days no sightings and 31 days lost. 😥

Hi Friends - Some facts you need to know about Brady, his family and how you can help. ☺️
1.
Brady's family live an hour away from where he is lost. On Sep 2/22 he escaped the dog sitters house in Sydenham (near Gould Lake).
2.
He has not settled into an area where he is getting food/water/shelter and since he is SCARED of HUMANS, Brady keeps running. We know he has travelled over 50km and counting.
3.
The map shows us, where he was, and what direction he has taken. The last known sighting was at 8:45pm on Sep 29th in Enterprise heading West. We have no idea which direction he went after this…
4.
Eventually, he will slow down and stay in an area where he feels safe from humans, and able to find food/water/shelter. When this happens, there will be SIGHTINGS!
5.
Literally, Brady could be headed to Tamworth, Kaladar, Tweed, Roslin, Napanee, Belleville and so on... He could circle back to Verona, Hartington, Sydenham...

We need eyes 👀 everywhere!!

Oct 1/22 - Update from Sep 30th

As you know, we spent the day yesterday in Enterprise/Moscow from 8am - 5pm. Hoping and waiting for a call on a sighting of Brady. Sadly Brady was a no show. 😔
We know he will make himself known it is just a matter of time and where... 🙏
