The upper respiratory disease commonly referred to as strangles is caused by Streptococcus equi subsp equi. Strangles is spread from horse to horse through direct contact. Horses can also contract the disease by coming into contact with contaminated surfaces. The disease is highly infectious.

Heart and soul equestrian services is doing something different this year!
This year we are looking to sponsor 2 local riders for the 2025 season!

We are looking for someone who is passionate, positive and maintains a sense of professionalism, enjoys posting on social media and most of all has fun doing what they love best!
In return I’d be offering you free sheath cleaning (if applied) and red light therapy for the season. If you feel like this might be a good fit for you please PM me and I will send over more details!

I’m so excited to announce a new service that heart and soul equestrian services will now be offering. Red light therapy!

RLT has so many great benefits including; reducing inflammation, increased blood flow, helps reduce pain, helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues and improves stress and anxiety.
Red light therapy is a non- invasive treatment, that is delivered by a low level red light wavelengths that penetrates the skin and acts at the cellular level that then helps stimulate our bodies naturally healing processes.
With red light the benefits are endless!

I will now be booking red light therapy sessions for horses and dogs at 40.00$ for 30 minute session.
Can also do a package deal for horses needing several sessions to aid in recovery ❤️‍🩹

Some fun in the snow with the best ponies!

A before and after! This is Millie, a paint mare I’ve been working with since summer. When I started with Millie she was a super fearful and reactive mare, scared of her own shadow. Things as simple as standing on the cross ties to be groomed was a task. She was unable to stay in a stall and had only had bad experiences with attempt to back her. I began working with her and brought her back to just ground work and getting her more comfortable in her own skin! Once we had accomplished some basic ground work and got more desensitized towards things, I started her back under saddle. She excelled quickly, with her new understanding of the world. I can now say Millie is going walk, trot, canter under saddle and even went for a hack down the road! She ground ties and will happy stay in a stall for hours. Millie will continue her training with myself and her family who is learning all the ropes of owning a green horse. It is so nice to be able to help a horse and her people learn to be one with each other and reach their goals! 🐴🤠🥰
