. On this day last year I had just signed the lease to my first grooming salon. These are pictures of me painting and getting things in order. I was so proud that all my years of hard work, and hustling & bustling were finally paying off. Signing this lease had been my first big win in a pretty dark time in my life. I was in a toxic relationship, I was technically homeless living in my grooming salon(thank the lord I had that) I was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually broken down but I was determined to not give up. Maybe 6-7 months into opening for business my business partner decided she no longer wanted to be apart of the business and just up and left everything on me. At that point I had to make the heart breaking decision to close up shop, ironically enough a couple of weeks later Covid hit which prompted me to go stay with my mom in which, I didn’t realize it then but it was the first step to a fresh new start ! What obstacles were you faced with that you over came ?
