Some great new pictures from Cyphers family. Cypher is one handsome boy!
Meet Cypher from our last litter, he was the green collared boy for those that were following our puppy journey. Cypher is almost 6 mo old He is loved and owned by the Walker family in Colorado. This is the second dog that the Walkers have gotten from us. Although they live in an area that they are not able to take a dog to training classes, their entire family is onboard setting their dog up for success. They routinely socialize and train Cypher exceeding what any class could offer them and it definitely shows. In this short clip you will see Cypher running through some basic commands. He has a separate place to go when they’re eating dinner which is the table command and a separate place to chill in the living area if needed which is the place command. You will also notice the Walkers use crash for what most of would call a down postion and the word Down for a sit. I’m so thankful for the love, time and devotion that this entire family gives to making Cypher the very best he can be ❤️
To our puppy owners from our last litter, some things to keep in mind as we train through the next 6 mo. This was copied from the AKC website. Remember to consistently train and socialize in new areas. Your dog is what you put into them.
Welcome to Life With a Teenaged Dog: Six to Twelve Months
Remember that adorable cuddly little puppy of just a few months ago? He’s a teenager now and things could get interesting. Dogs of this age start to test boundaries and many will try to assert themselves in the pack. They may challenge their humans and other pets in the household.
Pups at this stage need a GREAT DEAL OF STIMULATION AND ACTIVITY ; their boredom threshold is about the same as a young teenager’s. You can expect some misbehaving and disobedience during this stage, as your pup reaches sexual maturity. Keep up the training and provide lots of opportunity for play and exercise.
Your puppy will become quite the explorer during this stage. Walks around the neighborhood become an adventure for him as he uses scent to learn about his environment; where other dogs live, the best spot to stop for a p*e, the bushes where squirrels hide, and whose grass is the best for rolling around on. Combine teaching good leash manners with enough freedom for some neighborhood exploration.
Mr handsome Rip. A few photos by the lake followed by some socializing at Home Depot then on to Ace hardware where he got to pick some new toys out.
Cypher enjoying some retrieving in the Colorado snow.

Some more Rip adventures and great socializing ideas. Please remember these puppies were raised to be bold and curious. You want them to explore and not be afraid.
More great Rip adventures. This is a critical time to safely socialize your puppies. As a breeder I’ve done everything I can to hand over a well adjusted puppy. It is up to the new owners to continue this to create the very best dog you can. Having it sit at home will not accomplish that.
More great socializing.
Rip is staying with a dear friend while I recover from surgery. She’s doing an awesome job training and socializing him. While she updates me daily on his progress and outings I’m going to share s few so you can get a feel of proper puppy socializing

Everyone got a little practice today on a slight aframe. Tomorrow I’ll add the third piece. They all love the clicker and trying new things
A little glimpse into our morning routine. After everyone has gone outside to potty they get to come back in and run through the house so to speak lol. I try to put out new fresh obstacles in different places and boy do they have fun. They play for awhile then we go back out side for potties then back in for breakfast and a nap. This starts at 5 am every morning
Alex is such a HUGE help with the puppies. He helps get them in and out of their pen, entertains them while I clean and swap things out of their inside pen. He also loves to get them to go over their obstacles and plays so great with them. I’m so thankful for his help and the puppies LOVE him
Green collared boys second barrier challenge. You might be asking yourself what the purpose of a barrier challenge is. Here is a short description of the exercise and benefits. Puppy is given a little taste of food then placed behind a barrier a short distance away. They must figure out a way around to reach the food. The challenges increase as you work through it. These exercises greatly enhance problem solving and intelligence as well as developing the capacity to think when frustrated.
