Remember Dazey and her pups? This is Butter Bean, now named Owdin. He’s gotten so big!!! He’s always super happy to see me when I visit. 🥰 sadly his beautiful blue eyes have changed but he is still super handsome 💕

Was wandering around Broadway and College Street (Van Buren) until he decided to go to school 😂 he was subsequently expelled. He is now being housed in our only stray kennel which unfortunately is outside. He does have access to a igloo house with plenty of bedding but I’d love to get him home before this nasty weather hits!!

I’ve been blessed to have such a dog as my Taz 💕🥰❤️ he always makes the perfect foster brother. Teddy wouldn’t quit moving around amd Taz kept sighing super loudly every time Teddy moved. 😂 I didn’t get a picture of it but at one point Teddy was sitting on Taz 😂🤣

This is why I often have to turn down dogs people are trying to re-home or strays people have picked up. I need to keep space free for emergencies like this poor little thing. He is a three year old bully breed who only weighs 34 pounds!

Update: As of 1900 hours the fugitives have turned themselves in.

Had a migraine so laid down for a nap. Apparently while I was sleeping the larger hound, who has been climbing out of the pen but sticking around, figured out how to get his buddy out of jail and they are both in the wind.

Update so thankful for all the shares!!! We have placements pending for both these boys!!!

Update: They are both very very sweet dogs. The smaller is definitely the boss though 😂🤣 they get along fine with my dogs and my indoor cat that is used to having random dogs in the house.

Picked up at Smally’s in Van Buren. Anyone know where they belong? Found out they were in the South Town area yesterday, at the Landing. These dogs are possibly the same two that have been seen running around the Highway 103 and Skyline area for months.

You may live in a rural area and see dogs roaming and think it is OK for you to let your dog do so too. Perhaps your dog loves to wander and explore as most dogs do. Unfortunately, it is neither safe nor appropriate to allow your dog to roam free.

Even remote locations have cars and trucks. Dogs can get hit, and many of these dogs will not survive. While exploring, your dog can come across disease-carrying substances from animal f***s, dead wildlife, and even other living animals.

Standing water such as ponds and puddles are breeding grounds for many intestinal parasites. Not to mention the ticks and fleas that will literally suck the life out of your dog.

The latest dog (well puppy she is only around ten months old) who we had in our care was one of those unfortunate dogs that are allowed to roam free in our county. When she was found by a group of guys on vacation she was infested with ticks and fleas. The amount on her would be enough to kill a dog three times her size eventually if left untreated and I guarantee she is also full of internal parasites. Lucky for her the group of guys that found he were able to convince the owners to sell her and she will be going to an awesome furever home where she doesn’t have to worry about getting lost or hit by a vehicle or have her health taken by parasites.

Please if you have a dog remember fleas, ticks and internal parasites can and will kill your canine companions!!!!!! If you do nothing else for your fur babies ensure they are up to date on de-worming and flea and tick treatment!!!

Found just outside Van Buren at a rental cabin. Was covered in fleas and ticks at the time she was located. No collar at the time either. She appears to be young around a year old. Is super super sweet but very timid. Anyone know if she has a family?

If you have an outside dog, please consider setting something up so they can at least be inside during this heat wave. If you’re unable to do so make sure they’ve got somewhere out of the sun and plenty of clean fresh water!!!!
