Hello everyone!
I'm Tilly. Welcome into 2024 🥳
I am continuing dog walking and pet-sitting. For now I operate primarily in Wi******er where I am studying in my final semester at university.
I am putting feelers out for June this year to complete work in my hometown, of the Isle of Wight and across the UK.
*I can travel to somewhere in the UK at request, if I have availability. For long sits, I quote by blocks of 24 hours and take off 15% from the total cost as I’d be staying in your home.
I'm fully insured and can provide references if requested. I'm also clear Enhanced DBS-checked.
Animals are a large passion of mine and I love owning this little business where I get to spend time with them. 🐶🐾

Genuinely so happy with this job 🥰 these dogs are everything !! Had some wet walks this week and drying the little puppers after is so funny. They have adorable faces when I have to wipe them with the towel.

UPDATE : Since my post has been successful I have been in touch with near confirming 3 additional weekly dogs. So please bear in mind I may not be able to take any more regular-needed walking enquiries. Possibly just one offs and weekend pet sits.

I joined The University of Wi******er in September 2021. Prior to university I had been around dogs all my life, I am 20 years old now.
I was part of looking after my two family dogs. My family’s current dog, we’ve had since she was a puppy, is a 4 year old black Springador. Before her, we had a male rescue dog, a black Spaniel x Long Coated Retriever.
As well as this, I was first covered by my mum’s pet insurance for Wootton Walkies Iow to start walking dogs in my hometown, the Isle of Wight.
Last year, early 2022, during my second year of university, I started my own dog walking business here in Wi******er to make some money part-time and do what it is I absolutely love. This all started by word-of-mouth, and when it became regular, I created my page to share what I’m doing.
Additionally, I have been the proud owner of two hamsters who lived long and happy lives, and am just as responsible around cats. Though my mum was allergic so we never had one of our own, but extended family members and friends do.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Reminder to check the pavements before your walk with the front facing side of your hand turned down on the pavement. If you cannot hold your hand there for up to 10 seconds, it is too hot!
I always check the pavements before I walk the dogs and take water with me if it is going to be super humid. I stick to the shadier areas and walk earlier in the day, so I finish by midday when the pavements are not yet overheated.
Today, in Wi******er, I saw so many careless dog owners (22/06/2023) walking their dogs in 24+ degree heat on the hot pavements between 1pm and 3pm at the day’s hottest. It was way too hot for your dog then on the pavements. Watching the walkers made me feel gobsmacked. How do people think it is okay?
Another thing to note; please avoid long grass as much as you can in the possible, but unlikely case of tick bites for both you and your dogs. Shorter grass paths are better. Also, be wary of bushes and keep an eye out for sticky plants. If your dogs are going under bushes to go toilet, you should check their fur for weird sticky balls of foliage. Burrs, Cleavers or Goose Grass (Sticky Wi***es). These balls generally aren’t toxic but if they are stuck in your dogs fur this can lead to matting and tangles. If ingested, this may show your dog is lacking in vitamins or maybe your dog is being silly 😅. Check their ears more to avoid long-term discomfort or infection if left. Stay safe walkers 🙂

Hi! I’d just love to introduce myself. My name is Tilly.
I’m a university student in Wi******er, with 7/8 years experience living with and being comfortable around dogs. I’ve had dogs of my own and walked other people’s dogs growing up; my mum had a dog walking business back in my hometown, on the Isle of Wight so I took part and completed walks.
I took it upon myself to utilise the DBS check I had got when I completed some work with children over the last 2 years. Plus, I am personally insured to pet sit animals and walk dogs here in Wi******er, since I am no longer insured under my mum’s.
I am heading back to the Isle of Wight during July and most of August. I am happy to take on Isle of Wight clients as my insurance is UK wide and for September 2023 I will happily accept requests for Wi******er. If you are based in Wi******er and would like my services before September, ask me for a quote or information. Please check out my page and services, I’d appreciate it.

Safety: As we enter the warmer months and sunny weather, please, I encourage people to check the pavements with the palm of their hand before setting off to walk their dogs and bring water for them. Stick to shady paths when possible and offer your dog breaks 🙂 that’s what we are doing here at Tilly and Tails.
