Help Me Campaign

Please rally your people for me! I desperately need your help, this situation has become dire, this is our last chance to save her!

I know this isn't a fish, but PLEASE, someone, help us! Help my babygirl! Help ME, please!! Help me CAMPAIGN, I can't do this alone and we're running out of time!

Matilda has a growth on her adrenal gland, what they believe is a clot in her lungs, and probable Cushing's disease, but they won't treat her because they can't confirm without the diagnostics they want. Please help us! 🙏

An emergency consumed 2 years worth of savings last year, and these vet bill have taken every last penny I have! I only have $1000 to work with right now, but they want at least $2000+ just for just the diagnostics, it will be more than that with everything else they need to do.

Please, someone, help us reach more people, help us reach the hearts we need to! Help us make this miracle happen!

I emailed over 30 news outlets yesterday, as well as their top people to hopefully spread the word. Only *one* local news station has gotten back to me telling me they'll pass it on to their news room, but that's no guarantee. It's up to US now!

Please share this with your followers, I beg you! Help us spread the word about Matilda and the desperate help she needs, please!!

We're quickly running out of time, and she's beginning to suffer. If we can't reach the people we need to soon, we're going to have to start considering euthanasia. 😞 Oh, my babygirl! 😭

Celebrate Indigenous People's Day!

Here in the Betta Keepers community we proudly observe .

Today we acknowledge centuries of oppression and unimaginable loss, we also come together to celebrate the beauty and spirit of Native American Culture.

“Children, language, lands: almost everything was stripped away, stolen when you weren’t looking because you were trying to stay alive. In the face of such loss, one thing our people could not surrender was the meaning of land. In the settler mind, land was property, real estate, capital, or natural resources. But to our people, it was everything: identity, the connection to our ancestors, the home of our nonhuman kinfolk, our pharmacy, our library, the source of all that sustained us. Our lands were where our responsibility to the world was enacted, sacred ground. It belonged to itself; it was a gift, not a commodity, so it could never be bought or sold. These are the meanings people took with them when they were forced from their ancient homelands to new places.”

This nation tried its best to wipe them out, to silence, assimilate and enslave them. It failed, but the echoes of all the tears fallen still reverberate through our nation.

Take a look at this setup by Jill Key, from our Betta Keepers community!

This striking 12g long is home to betta fish Rhett Bettler, whom his mother describes as "a ball of fury", but he's still a mama's boy. He used to live in a 32g community tank with some cories, loaches, and mystery snails, until puberty made him the raging ball of fury he is.

What do you say to the god of death? Not today!

Now look at him now, a sweet bachelor pad, all the noms he can eat. He now enjoys leisurely swims through his glorious lair of solitude, and showing off to his mother and all her friends!

This gorgeous 6g LifeGard bookshelf aquarium belongs to Tamara VonMarbod Henry, and it's home to Andy the betta fish!

When he isn't gobbling up brine shrimp and slurping on black worms, he can be found chilling with his guppy friend. Mr. guppy hitchhiked in one day and they've been pals ever since!
