Working on becoming friends means long walks in the park 🍁
Both Newt and Lola aren't the biggest fans of dogs that aren't their siblings so we're taking it slow with walks in new places! They did such a good job just existing next to each other and giving each other the space they're each comfortable with! They both acknowledged each other but didn't feel like becoming besties today which is okay! Doing it at their pace so we can all hangout together in the future 🫶🏼

Spooky season is here and the ticks never left 👻 fall is a time where ticks like to play tricks too and hide in leaf piles! It's important to keep your pup and yourself protected from these sneaky bugs especially before they start rolling in the leaves! I continue to use flea & tick spray until there is snow on the ground to make sure Manila & Newton stay protected from ticks!

How I keep the pups cool frozen treat edition part 2

I go for big frozen treats when we're outside for longer periods or I need to keep the pups occupied! These are also only made with the best ingredients and they go crazy over them! They’re also super easy to make and just pop out of the freezer!

First treat:
goat's milk
Banana
Blueberries

Second treat:
Turkey or beef bone broth
Shredded carrots
Cut up red peppers

How I keep the pups cool frozen treat edition!

Manila and Newton's favorite way to cool down outside or after a walk is with frozen treats! They're easy to make and are full of only the best ingredients for the pups! Cute molds also make them more fun too

Purple treats:
goat's milk
Banana
Blueberries
(I also love to add strawberries)

White treats:
goat's milk
Banana

Yellow treats:
beef or turkey bone broth

Having two Velcro pups over the summer can be challenging when it's hot outside. Manila and Newton don't like being left in the house while l'm outside so l've found a lot of ways to keep them cool while being able to be outside for hours at a time. So here's a mini series of things I do to keep my pups cool!

Manila is OBSESSED with bison marrow bones. I have two that I keep just in the freezer and I will bring them outside with us if I know they're going to need something cool to chew on! Manila still treats them the same as she would in the house and it gives the pups something to do while being outside!
