daily feeding drives in kolkata, India.
It's the 12th of this month and I still haven't posted for any fund appeals for feeding drives because I was more fixated on getting furries sterilised.. Because it's been month since I could get a dog spayed until now.
Although many of you donated for the spaying and almost all the surgeries have been covered for, I still need to

Raise funds for feeding some 50+ dogs at kolkata and muzaffarpur..

Last 7 dogs of 50 dogs to be spayed in collaboration with

With this, 50 dogs from the bus stand area near esi, joka, Kolkata, were sent for spaying and antirabies vaccination...

There are still so many more dogs left to be spayed in this area and nearby areas where the dogs are prone to get crushed under vehicles or die of diseases and hunger.. 😓

17 😍 dogs from the area behind anandpally, kolkata were sent for their neutering and antirabies vaccination ☺..

I hastily sent these dogs(majority of them are females) because its been raining heavily in kolkata and it's hard to catch dogs in such a weather because they keep hiding in the far off corners..so any bright day is a good day for TNR mission..

You guys have already been supporting me with the treatment and rescue as well as feeding of the furries on streets.. And i am so grateful for that..
But, will you please spare a little and donate for the NEUTERING AND ANTIRABIES VACCINATION please...

Nothing benefits a homeless dog or cat on streets more than getting them neutered.. To some it looks cruel but then not all dive deep inside the rescue work to know the BENEFITS OF GETTING COMMUNITY DOGS AND CATS STERILISED AND VACCINATED..

Each spay +antirabies+post op costs rs 2000 Or 28 USD...

So total funds required for these 17 dogs : ₹ 34,000 😟🥺

Lost a dog today...
He is one of the 5 dogs I had gotten picked up from Tangra, kolkata...

He was from someone else's area who probably didn't care about him getting sterilised and neutered on time..

He had probably mated with a female dog in his area who had transvaginal tumor...and caught it..
When bano di reported about him... He had multiple tumors which had burst and were bleeding profusely..

Kindest maam had sponsored his initial treatment... But, his health was beyond recovery and even after iron therapy and blood transfusions.. He was too much anaemic and he passed away in his sleep yesterday....

I just wish.. I had known about him a little earlier..

This is why I stress about NEUTERING OF STREET ANIMALS SO MUCH... if you wish to donate for neutering in honor of this littly guy we lost.. Please do so...atleast I would be able to save one furry like him . 😌

Urgent fund required for clearing tretament + shelter stay+ chemotherapy of three doggos...

1. For Radha I need to clear foster + treatment charges of 4 months(last year's dues) =rs 2000*4= 8000/-

2. For mishti, rs 6000/- for treatment and shelter stay for 2 months.

3.for another dog from bansdroni, who is suffering from bad pe**le tumor. Need rs 3000 for him..

Total of rs 17000 for these 3 cases.. Can spme of you please help out??? 😒

super urgent need of funds for the treatment of 5 dogs with burst tumors (transvaginal and a nose tumor).

All these 5 dogs were picked up from Tangra, kolkata again(same deserted closed factory area from where I got 15 dogs for spaying picked up earlier! ) along with other 8 more dogs for spaying..

Each of these dogs would need rounds of chemotherapy and surgical reduction before they get neutered and vaccinated and released back into their territories..

An approximate amount of ₹ 5000 would be required for the treatment of each dog and hence I am currently raising

₹5000*5= 25,000 ₹ or 345 USD total..

Please help by donating any amount possible for these dogs.. I got them picked up and their treatment and blood work has already started.. All I need is your prayers and financial support..

🆘 urgent funds appeal for treatment and spay/vaccination of 15 dogs living in an empty closed factory lot of Tangra, Kolkata..

I got a call from a security guard bhaiya who and a few other guard bhaiyas feed whatever they can afford to a large pack of about 50-60 dogs living around factories which are now closed since lockdown started...

The condition is so bad that for one chapati, 50 dogs fight to get even a tiny bite... Results are massive wounds and due to rains these get maggots...

I had to get them picked up anyhow... And man, the condition they were in 😞😞

There were about 10 dogs with big wounds and about 6 or 7 with tvts... And this is just the first pick up... 😔

I will also be sending sanjoy da tomorrow to pick up as many dogs as possible from there again.. It's SUPER URGENT.. I ALSO NEED TO PROVIDE GUARD BHAIYAS WITH ATLEAST 2 OR 3 BAGS OF CHAPPI... ONCE the dogs return back from sterilisations and antirabies vaccination.

Each spay + antirabies vaccination will cost ₹ 2000 or 30 USD and I just have been able to raise funds for 7 spays...

The treatment will cost another 15 or 20,000 rs for th TVT and the bite maggot wounds...

I am urgently raising about ₹ 36,000 ...
Please donate any amount possible... I just couldn't turn my back on these helpless furries... They need my and your help...

Urgent 🆘 fund requirement for the SPAY/NEUTER/VACCINATION of about 25-30 dogs from bansdroni, kolkata... Their caretaker passed away due to covid 😔

I was informed about them by who has been in talks with another fellow animal lover who is somehow feeding these dogs... But soon the mating season will start and if the mommies get pregnant, you all can imagine the plight of these dogs...

So, here I am.. Asking you all to kindly donate/sponsor for these 30+ dogs to be spayed and neutered and vaccinated so that a lot many lives can be saved with this...

Each spay costs rs 2000 or about 30 USD... This includes vaccination with antirabies, spay/neuter, food, stay till they heal and the transportation charges.. Once the dogs heal, they get released back into their own familiar territories...

Urgent requirement of funds for pup with broken femur! 😔

reported about this pup from her locality with a probable broken leg and because of lockdown In kolkata and Unavailablity of funds, she reached out to me..

I am already under debt to pay for 5 spays (₹ 10,000) one tvt treatment charges (₹3000)
And radha's foster charges(2000*4=8000₹)

But this pup needed treatment and somehow he was managed to be sent to sanjoy da and treatment has started.. A cast (thomas splint) has been applied and he is staying there till he recovers...

I will get him neutered and vaccinated against rabies once he heals completely.. Only then he would be released back to his territory...

For now, for his treatment and stay I am urgently raising ₹ 6000...or about 85 USD.

Will some of you please chip in a little and help me get this pup treated???

In case the social media sites get banned it will be super difficult working but the work would be done somehow...

A PAT ON THE BACK!!

Strays as they are called... Abused over their entire lifetime.. Kicked in bellies... Thrown rocks at... Hot water pouréd over them... And sometimes mercilessly being crushed under the wheels of some madmen... This is what LIFE FOR A STRAY ON THE STREETS MEAN!!!

Unimaginable for many of us... Isn't it???
We humans get wary of any other of our species if we are hurt even slightly.... But, so forgiving are our furry friends that they forget our atrocities if we just give them slight attention... Some love filled whistles and a pat on the back...

A bite of your buiscuits or leftover chapatis... Nothing makes them happier if you feed them with your hands... No fuss or no demands . . It's all you and your love that they need and they demand...

I wish we were a bit more considerate... A bit more careful and attentive towards them and their needs... Even a stranger with love filled eyes is God for them..atleast not if God, let's be HUMANS for these STRAYS 😔

12 more female dogs were sent for their spaying today from Kaaasyppur ,Nayabaad metro station,Vidhan park and baranagar area, kolkata... 🙂

And sadly none of these dogs are sponsored 😔and I don't have any funds (except rs 500 for spaying which were raised since my appeal)...

All these dogs are females and although they get feeding from local people sometimes, no one seemed bothered enough to get them spayed... Do you imagine how much and many puppies would have suffered from abuse or hunger or these mothers if they suffered from TVT!???

5 more female dogs were sent from belaghata, kolkata for their spaying and antirabies vaccination 😌

All of these surgeries, vaccination and stay till they heal are sponsored by the kindest 🥰

In just the month of April and may,2021, A total of 39 dogs from the most difficult areas for dogs in kolkata have been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and all these 39 sterilisations have been sponsored by ☺ love you guys so much 😘

Each spay costs rs 2000 or 28 USD and each spay saves millions of lives born and unborn.. I am just an individual rescuer who is trying my best to actively promote spay and neuter and vaccination in kolkata (for now) and I just can't do it further if I don't get support from you all.. 10 dogs picked up from the badanagar locality of kolkata were sent for spaying and antirabies vaccination... And guess what!!!! All of them are females 😍☺

These dogs have scarce source of food available to them and people of their locality are hostile towards them and handful of animal lovers there.

Only option to save these dogs and their multiple litters was to get them SPAYED..

SO, finally they could be sent for being pupfree 😍they would be released back once they heal and are vaccinated 🙂

Thankyou once again for sponsoring the spay of another batch of 12 dogs picked up from area near flyover of belaghat sarovar, kolkata... ☺

Dogs who were picked up had skin diseases and worms in their stools from eating from the dustbins... 😔such is the sorry state of majority of strays in our country that we have to pray that they atleast get some leftovers from the nearby humans... Pathetic ehhh?????

So out of the 30 dogs which promised to sponsor for spaying, 24 have been picked up and spayed and neutered and vaccinated against rabies. All these will be soon released back into their familiar territories after they heal up well 😍much love to you Melody 😘 and others from YSDR 😍
WITH THESE, 633 dogs have been STERILISED AND VACCINATED AGAINST RABIES so far and released back to their familiar territories. ☺☺

Urgently raising funds for the sterilization of about 25-30 dogs from baranagar area of kolkata!!!!
These dogs are facing hostility from majority of the locals who thinks strays are nuisance and are asking a handful of the animal lovers to take the dogs away!!!

They were also against sterilisations because they think pups are supposed to be born and die on streets but after repeated requests and counsellings they have agreed to atleast get the dogs sterilised (because that would reduce the number of dogs in their colony ) ..

Sterilisations of these dogs is super super urgent and each spay would cost Rs. 2000 or 28 USD approximately. I thus request you to kindly donate/sponsor for a spay as this would mean the world to these dogs and save them and their unborn pups a lot of abuse at the hands of cruel humanity 😪

Raising funds for first sterilisation drive of street dogs of Kolkata in the year 2021 !!!
With the new year comes new responsibilities...
Not just personal but social and towards our furries too...
You all already know that I try getting as many dogs safely sterilised And vaccinated as I can... And currently since past one year, my work has been concentrated for the betterment of street animals of Kolkata...
I try getting dogs from interior most difficult areas sterilised where even one meal a dya for them is extremely difficult...

Currently, I have 6-8 dogs from sodepur, 10 dogs from motijheel , 5 dogs from joka (under the care of ) and about 6 dogs from bansdroni, Kolkata... In total of about 30 dogs to be sterilised....
Each spay costs rs 2000 or 27 USD.. So raising a total of Rs. 60,000 or 810 USD for this year's first sterilisation drive...
Will you all please chip in a little and share this post further and farther so that i can raise the required funds and get the dogs picked up and sterilised and vaccinated as soon as possible....

22 dogs were sent for SPAY/NEUTER today 😍😍 in two batches of 11 each from Behala and a new area nearby Patuli , Kolkata ..
Under the watchful eyes of , the dogs were picked up one by one by the wonderful dog catcher sanjoy dada and these dogs were sent to Happy hearts of Kolkata for their surgeries !
Thankyou so so much , .37216 , maam , , .walkies , , ._.saldanha sir and Karishma ma'am , .prb.j sir , and three anonymous donors , for contributing towards these spay and neuter surgeries...
Because of you all , not only these 22 dogs ( majority of which are femaledogs) but their would have been offsprings as well wont suffer a lifetime of hunger /diseases and abuse...so my heartfelt gratitude to you all 😘
Two of these dogs were picked up by shreemoyee , from an area where people with lack of basic amenities live and the dogs there dont have enough food resources as well...i have planned to get the rest of the 15s or 20s of the dogs from that particular areas sterilised as well with the help of as this area is nearby one of her dog feeding areas...
Today's total cost for getting 22 dogs sterilised is Rs 2000/- per dog thus, total of Rs 44,000/- .


With yesterday's cats' pick up and today's dogs'pick up , the number of dogs safely sterilised would be 327/500 and spayed/neutered cats would be 42/50...
