Meet Finley! 💕

She’s a 7-month old Mini Dachshund and just the sweetest little snuggler!
Finley is here to work on all of her little puppy shenanigans, and to make sure she’s a well rounded pup to set her up for a lifetime of success. Her family really wants her to be reliable off-leash. We are working through a little separation anxiety, some reactivity toward other dogs, and some confidence building to help her be the best little pup she can be!

Nico!!
He’s a 5-month old beagle/husky mix (among other things) and boy is he cuteeeee! This little love bug has the silliest ears and stunning eyes! What a heart throb.

Nico was rescued by his family and is here to work on all the typical puppy antics, and to give him a solid foundation that will set him up for success for life. So far he’s learning how to walk on a leash without pulling, and settle down in the place command.

Happy Halloween from the farm!

Friendly reminder that one of the safest places for your dogs on Halloween is inside your house or their crate.
Even some of the most well-trained, best tempered dogs can have unpredictable reactions to scary decorations, costumes, masks etc. Sometimes it can be best to just keep them safe inside our home instead of pushing their boundaries.

We love our visits to see the horses. And it doubles as some good distraction training too!

George is very easily distracted by everything outside. When I sent George’s owners this video, they said that previously he would have been dragging them to see the dogs up ahead. And at 75 pounds and counting, he’s a really strong puller. We’ve been working on impulse control and minding his obedience around some tougher distractions.

Dang…..I’m proud of her. When Lily’s mom came to drop her off for training, the chickens were running around the yard and Lily REALLY wanted to chase after them. Badly. So this impulse control she’s showing in this video is a big deal. Especially when that silkie is really taunting her at the end (🤣)Don’t get me wrong, she still REALLY wants to chase them. After all, she’s still a dog. However, in this moment while she’s in place, she knows she needs to stay there and ignore what’s going on around her. Look at her go!
