I find myself struggling each week to keep up with the demands of my life. I make it a point to be punctual and give my best at my full-time job every day. But when I come home, especially in the hot summer months, I feel exhausted and unmotivated to cook dinner or work on my online business. I’ve had enough of feeling inadequate in my business and for my family. It's time for a change.
I've gained weight and am not feeling my best. Enough is enough! It's time to make some life-changing decisions. I'm grateful for my wonderful friend and business partner who is holding me accountable with my online business. I am truly blessed to have her in my life!
We started the Mediterranean Diet this past week and have stuck to it so far, loving all the recipes.

I love seeing all the dance competitions and recital posts during June. I was a competitive dancer in my teen years, taking jazz, baton, tap, ballet, and lyrical. I started dancing in kindergarten but had to stop after my sophomore year of high school due to a knee injury from playing soccer.
Yes, I played soccer too! I started in 2nd grade and continued through 8th grade. One day, when varsity scouts were watching to see if I could jump straight to the varsity team in 9th grade, a girl from the opposing team tripped me. I ended up tearing the cartilage in my knee in three places, which ended my soccer career.

Recently I have been challenged with a decision to either keep on the path that I was going with my various avenues of income or was it time to head into a new direction. This is something that I have been thinking and praying over for nearly 8 months.
During the past 8 months, I put my online business in neutral and just coasted through. (Thankfully with the customer base and team that I had built over the past 5 years, it sustained me with a steady income while I was stuck in neutral.)
I have decided that the community, support, friendships, and the lives that I change are worth staying on this path! I don’t have the time to leave the home to build relationships face to face. I need to be here for my family when I am not at work.
For the past two years I have successfully worked full-time as a preschool teacher. This is something I haven’t been able to do EVER since I had children. I tried to work full-time several times over the past 12 years, but I wasn’t successful. Each time I tried, the medical needs of my 3 daughters became the priority and I had to quit my job or had to drop down to working part-time. I am nearing 52 years, and I am finally able to build a career full-time. I am excited for the opportunity to continue to teach preschool.

Since I have gained some new friends lately, I thought that I would share 3 things about myself that you may not already know about me!
My favorite hobby is scrapbooking. If you follow me on Facebook then this may not be a surprise! LOL. I am constantly posting photos of my scrapbooking trips since that is the only time I get to scrapbook.
When I was 18 years old, I was picked by the International Lion’s Club to be a foreign exchange student to attend a month in Austria! I spent 2 weeks in Vienna with 40 young adults from 27 countries. Then I spent a second 2 weeks with a host family in Lienz, Austria. I was able to visit Budapest, Hungary and Venice, Italy on this trip as well!
Children are my life-literally! I began teaching when I was a 9th grader in high school. I taught a toddler church class. Then I went on to earn my degree in Elementary Education and have always worked with children and their families in some compacity for close to 40 years now!
