*RESERVED* The superb Eden (perfect pup who I've fallen in love with) will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. So..I need help in finding her the perfect home! Eden is a working cocker spaniel, she will only be going to a very active home where she can fulfill those working instincts (maybe someone who likes to do sniffer training as she has great potential for this). She's a sociable puppy and is already picking up toilet training and recall. She'd be great for someone who loves dog training, she is receptive and eager to please. She loves to lift her paws in the air when she wishes to be picked up (much like a toddler does!). Eden does not have any health issues and will be chipped, up to date with flea and wormed treatment and will have her 1st vaccinations before being able to leave for her forever home. She will also have a neutering contract and an adoption agreement. For the first time ever i will be asking for an adoption fee as Eden is healthy but has required handrearing, along with veterinary treatment, so this adoption fee will help to cover her costs which will also enable me to help other babies in need 🏡 she really is a lovely pup and deserves to be cherished and brought on by someone who loves working breeds. If you are interested in adopting Eden, please get in touch with some information about what life you can offer her and if all is well, we can have a chat, arrange a home check, and hopefully a meet and greet 🙂

*SORTED, HUGE THANKS TO CHLOE'S MUM 😁* Puppy food appeal* Unfortunately my normal supplier of puppy food that I ordered on Monday have failed to dispatch my order (despite paying for next day delivery!) ...with bank holiday this weekend..this means I'm going to run out of food for Eden! 😫 Does anyone have any starter biscuits I could get buy and have by today or tomorrow please?

Time to introduce Eden🌸 she's here as her breeders realised she was fading and took her to the vets. The vets reached out as she wasn't improving. After seeing Eden I realised just how poorly she was. She was doing the "death cry" which is when fading puppies and kittens make desperate cries, often increasing as death approaches. Despite having the energy to cry for help, she had minimal reflexes, was dehydrated and was basically starving (she had lost 20% of her bodyweight since being born). She still has a respiratory infection, something many orphans arrive with due to being bottle fed when they are too weak to feed. Tube feeding, plasma infusions, incubator and antibiotics has saved her so far. She's still got a way to go but has made so many improvements 🥰

These little rays of sunshine are heading home after 5 weeks ☺️☀ they arrived with multiple infections (neonatal opthalmia, skin pyoderma, aspiration pneumonia, heavy worm burden, secondary gastrointestinal infection and I'm pretty sure they were also going septic) now they're chubby, happy puppies which is just the best feeling! Well done puppers 🥰

*DONOR MILK APPEAL*
Last year I put an appeal out to see if any breeders would be happy to donate some of their mumma dog's milk. I had lots of wonderful people offer but unfortunately no-one got back to me. A few years ago, I had a lovely breeder in Gloucestershire donate some milk for Dudley and it made such a difference to his health. Now I have two incredibly poorly pups who this milk could be life saving for! So please, if you have a large breeding mumma with plenty of milk- I'd love to hear from you 😟

Thank you so much to everyone who very kindly donated to or shared the plea of Paris, the little Chihuahua who needed specialist surgery. Thanks to your kindness she has now had her surgery and can begin her long recovery. The vet is very happy with how her surgery went and she is comfortable and eating well. We are so grateful that she has been given the chance to have the rest of her life being able to move freely without pain. ❤

She won't be ready for adoption until she has fully recovered but you can view her profile here - https://www.manytearsrescue.org/display_mtar_dog.php?id=39828

Paris is one of our lovely foster dogs, she needs an operation to fix a poorly knee which the vet thinks she's been suffering with for some time. Please share so we can give her a pain free and happy life 🥲

First Christmas present was a last minute vet nursing shift (we saw over 80 patients and had 3 emergency surgeries!) But it was a great team so the time flew. Time to get chubby and sit in my pyjamas all day 😁

Merry Christmas animal lovers! Wishing you all a lovely, cosy Christmas 🎄 We have taken on 3 Many Tears Animal Rescue girlies to foster. This Chihuahua is one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to stay in kennels this Christmas 💔 she has an old broken jaw and a busted leg which she will be having surgery for in the new year.

Well this is a first, shout out to Vale Vets Devon who organised a collection of £65 towards the cost of Flora's care. To receive funds from a veterinary practice shows that things are definitely moving in the right direction! To work with vets rather than trying to persuade them to give these babies a chance is a huge achievement. It is something I hope can spread across veterinary practices so we can improve the level of thought and care when faced with special needs puppies and kittens.

It is time for some positivity and I am truly grateful. Most people know that most of the orphans I take are due to be put to sleep and so as a result, I fund their care and veterinary fees; unless they are from a rescue in which case I still offer my handrearing/nursing services for free. This is my choice and I am not a charity so asking for donations is not something I feel comfortable doing. Thankyou so much Vale Vets ❤

Sometimes handrearing hurts, I lost beautiful Flora today 💔 it's been 23 orphans since I lost one, so it hit me hard..and is a reminder that miracles are called miracles for a reason.

I still kid myself with each orphan and think I have to pull them through, that they must survive. It is hard to accept that some will not.

Flora has always been small but was starting to thrive, hitting all the milestones as expected and her cleft was even getting smaller. 8am she fed as normal, wriggling about and suckling my fingers whilst having cuddles. Then without warning at 8.50am she had a seizure, then another. She was then comatosed and rushed to the vets. In the early days, I was concerned she may have a liver shunt and the vet agreed today that this is probably what caused her to start having seizures. Liver shunts can be treated but with a pup this young to already be having severe seizures, we decided to let Flora go peacefully. Everyone knows I have a rule with handrearing, if they are in pain or suffering and it can't be immediately resolved..I owe it to them to stop so that their life no matter how short, is filled with love, care and happiness. Flora had 19 days of round the clock care (over 200 tube feeds), and she was a happy pup till this morning. I'm devastated I won't be setting up the puppy pen for her in the next few days, or picking out her first collar.

Thankyou for everyone's encouragement and support, taking on special needs babies isn't easy 😞

This is the best part of my job 100%. Owners who were absolutely heartbroken a month ago now have a somewhat happy ending, Reggie is going home. Reggie's mum can't be brought back, but a part of her now lives on through Reggie 🥲
