October 27th is National Black Cat Day

The rich folklore surrounding the black cat is varied, depending on different cultures.

In Scotland, black cats are linked to prosperity, especially when strange black felines visit one’s house.

In most parts of the UK and Japan, these kitties are also considered to bring good luck.

However, in many countries, black cats are often perceived as something unlucky or even evil. A popular superstition claims that if a black kitty crosses your path, it will trigger some sort of misfortune.

On the other hand, many people believe black cats are mystical creatures with supernatural powers. Sailors, fishermen, and ancient Egyptians used to worship these feline furballs.

Looking for a foster/adopter for our Charlie N.. He is such a good boy and needs to find his forever spot. He needs to be the only dog. Charlie is about six years and in good health. He would do best with one or two people. Charlie likes walks, knows sit, stay and how to cuddle. He is very protective of his people. He rides great in a car but is content to stay home without you. He just lounges around and waits for his beloved to get home. He is entertained by playing ball and seems to be a busy guy with a keen eye for catching flying bugs. He also likes to have a drink from the bath tub tap and will ask for you to follow him. Slow slipper enjoying the cool water. We dont know how Charlie is with cats or children.
Please help us to give Charlie that loving place that that he needs so much.

Hi my name is Ivy and I am the sweetest little girl. I am a terrier/maltese cross. I love to snuggle with my people and I am learning to enjoy my walks. I get along with my doggie clan and I hardly bark. Of course I will bark when there is someone at the door. Especailly when my foster dad comes home. So excited to see him. Miraculously, there are still FOUR Fire Nation puppies left looking for their furever. 🥺
As you can see, Dr. Stowell is already teaching them how to sit and even lay down!
