Pigeon stretch is a great hip opener with a lot of other benefits, often we get confused with few alignment points of the pose. Here, I’m sharing few things to keep in mind while practising this stretch.
I have included a modification using blanket, you can use a block or a folded towel whichever is comfortable and according to the gap between hips and the floor.
BENEFITS:
➡️ opens hip flexors, improves hips flexibility
➡️ helps neutralise the pelvis
➡️ range of motion of hip and knee joint increases
➡️ provides relief in sciatica
➡️ stiffness from the back is alleviated
➡️ stretches hips, thighs, psoas.
