As renters there isn’t a lot of permanent change we can make to the space here at Doggy Paradise but I’ve been using found items from around the property to create enrichment activities for the guys and their guests.

One of my favorites so far is the sniff garden. I took the cement blocks that were a hazard and laid them out, filled them with potting soil, and tossed various seeds in them.

The cat grass (which is good for dogs) seems to be the happiest, with the basil a close second.

When a dog shows its belly, it’s usually a sign that the dog feels comfortable and trusts you. Belly rubs can be a great way to bond with your dog, as long as your dog enjoys them.

We usually invite the dogs in to join us if they feel so inclined. We get their need to protect and appreciate it so much. They are also praised for going potty outside. I try to watch their back for them too. Out of respect. They really are our best friends and we are so fortunate to have them for any period of time. Thank you for sharing this @mochithegoldengirl 🐶🥰

@eric.and.joey have the right idea! Visit your local shelter and hang out with some dogs today. You may find your soul mate 🤷🏻‍♀️🐶
