It has been our great honor to play with and love each dog that visits us.
We have always posted our beloved friends who have passed to honor our friendship.
It was just a lot of them this time.

Today at the Club where Scarlett has boarded for years she began retching and drooling all of the sudden.
We took her in the yard to check her and I noticed her abdomen was distended and hard. I called her families emergency number and a family member rushed to take her to the vet.
She was having an episode of bloat.
Unfortunately due to her age and the distance needed to get to a vet that could do the surgery her family had to let her go to the Bridge.
To say the last week and half has been hard is an understatement.
These dogs and families mean so much to us and our hearts hurt.
I have attached an article about bloat to maybe help someone else with a deep chested dog one day.
Rest well sweet Scarlett, we all loved you.

Lucy Kane was one of the best dogs you could ever have met. She boarded with us just a couple weeks ago and during a routine dental cleaning blood test it was found she had Hemangiasarcoma cancer. She passed Sunday and it was heartbreaking for all of us.

Last week our friend Roxy came to board. She was been coming for years and was almost 14.
Friday our dear sweet Roxy had a serious stroke while in our care and though her owners mom came and rushed her to the vet, Roxy was not able to survive.
Devastating.
We are so sorry to her sweet family.
I can't imagine losing my dog when I can't be there with them.
