In honor of our first EVER sale this week, we’re sharing the first specimen that started it all. The also known as a Scarab from the family . 🪲This precious gem was included in a beginner’s kit from the good folks at a couple of years back. 🦋 Major improvements have been made since I pinned my first specimen in creative technique, tools, and overall processes. I’m eager to continue learning more ways to preserve the beauty of our natural world. 🌱

I can’t wait to show you all what I’ve been working on! I definitely bit off more than I could chew with this project. 🦷 It’s been ongoing for about a year now! It’s a sculpture based on one of my favorite horror movies, .

I’m pretty close to being finished, just need some final touches to make it really perfect. Thanks for being so patient! My second release is tentatively planned for March. In the meantime, I’m secretly opening customs back up. Right here, right now. If you’re still reading, this is the only place where I’ll be announcing that. Whew! The last few weeks have been a busy blur, but time waits for no one. ⏳

Especially this rabbit, who may or may not have been late for an important date. 🐇 Locally sourced and handcrafted, this lucky rabbit foot was salvaged on a beach walk and carefully preserved for display.

You may wish to add a chain, or keep it as is. This talisman is intended as a good luck charm for protection and blessings. ✨

This time of year is for following sacred traditions: Halloween, Día de los Mu***os, All Saint’s Day, Samhain. No matter which you observe, one thing remains constant. We use this time to acknowledge death. 💀

We remember the departed, celebrate their lives, and send them gifts and messages of love to the beyond. The veil is thinnest on the 31st every year, and we’ll be celebrating with our site launch and first official limited release. We hope you enjoy this art that honors the dead and preserves the beauty of life. 🖤

In creating these unique and delicate preservation frames, we take into consideration the natural environment in which each specimen could be found. 🌍 Samia Insularis, the silk moth of the Indonesian tropics, likely rested atop many moss-drenched tree trunks in its lifespan. Taking cover in the silken weavings of fertile earth, this species is known to mimic other creatures as a defense mechanism. 👁 Painted wings allude to the peering eyes of a predator, allowing the moth a peaceful moment to take shelter from the wild rainforest.

The Patriarch’s Monarch 🖤 My dad’s butterfly landed in Florida yesterday after bravely facing hurricane Ian! This was my first time shipping any art, and it’s safe to say we are off to a great start. Thank you all for your patience - still finishing up some backend website work, but everything is finally coming together. 💀
