The reddish green banana, _Pisang Raja Udang_, grows in the right season. This banana will be the chosen one when clients offer their worship on the first day of the tenth lunar month.

A _Nyonya_ family favors this type of _pisang_. They bought four bunches of bananas to offer worships to deities and ancestors. As the bananas delivered, the client gently touched the banana skin and said, “_Jin jia sui_ (This is nice).”

A praise from clients brings joy to the farmers.

In the South China Sea Islands, there are myths about the _Pisang Raja Udang_; therefore, some families do not eat them.

Winter clothing festival, celebrated in the North China in the old days, was held on the first day of the _tenth_ lunar month. It is about seven days before the Light Snow solar term, when the winter arrives. People worship their ancestors by burning the paper clothes and spirit money, as a representation of “sending clothes,” which also means to send warmth.
