🎀SHORT HAIRS NEED GROOMED TOO🎀
Gorgeous Gustav is one of our regulars & always feels fab after having his dry and itchy build-up of undercoat removed🥰
This has helped with his dandruff & dry skin and he is feeling much more comfortable for it😻 He always brightens our day with his little grumpy face💗
Short haired cats generally still have extremely thick coats, so even if they groom the top layer they can’t reach the dry detached undercoat deep in their fur! A good de-shed and shampoo keeps their coat shiny & their skin healthy🐈

This gorgeous boy is Paddy😻 Unfortunately he has some joint issues that make it difficult for him to reach certain areas when grooming himself. This often leads to painful matts and an itchy buildup of undercoat. To keep Paddy comfortable and minimize any strain, we gave him an extra short teddy cut! Now, he looks even more adorable and, most importantly, feels much comfier after his groom🥹❤️

We’ve recently lost some special members of our Divine Feline Family💗 Today we are keeping Hubert, Lily & Porthos and their loving families in our thoughts - it was a pleasure to care for your sweet babies🐱🐱 We take comfort in knowing that they had the most spoiled lives with the best owners, run free over the rainbow bridge wee darlings🌈❤️

So grateful to have had the opportunity to be a guest speaker teaching Grooming 101 at the Loving Cats Worldwide Catstravaganza show in a few weeks ago!🐱💗
This was Divine Feline’s first interactive teaching event and it was absolutely fantastic to meet so many people who were interested in learning about how to care for their cats better - we had some brilliant questions and explored some common misconceptions🐈⬛
We spoke about the importance of zero restraint grooming, different handling techniques, recommended tools, understanding your cats behavioural cues, minimising stress & creating a positive association with grooming and many more overlooked topics when it comes to caring for these enchanting creatures!✨
A recurring theme discussed was the lack of resources and education when it comes to cat grooming in the UK. Many owners feel that their only option is to have their cat regularly sedated and shaved, which isn’t a safe option due to the sensitivity of their hearts and general anaesthetic risks .
We also spoke about the dangers of using dog groomers who have not undertaken further training to handle cats and how easily injuries can occur in these circumstances.
Our passion has always been helping & educating owners and caring for cats in a way which doesn’t cause them harm and this brilliant event has been the first step in making safe cat care a priority across the UK❤️
