Here's my other daughter's horse Duke! He's around 20 years old...
He came to us a few years ago from a very dear friend who took him in and away from the rodeo world where he was basically being run to death at his age....

He is NOW -fat, healthy, and enjoying life. Sometimes he gives rides to our guests and Ashley rides him leisurely.... but his biggest job is being a handsome pasture ornament! He loves baths and grooming and especially his feed!

Duncan.... oh our sweet rescued boy!
He was a Stallion- in his mid 20's in age... kicked & injured in his "man parts" so he found himself in the slaughter pen in Oklahoma... bound for Mexico.
A wonderful rescue group actually pulled him out... had his surgery done to fix his ... ya know... and had him gelded.
A friend of a friend called and said she had a "special horse that needed a special home" and after making transportation arrangements... Duncan came to live with us...
He is such a sweet boy & about as handsome as handsome gets....
We are so blessed to be able to share his story & we get to pamper him forever!

My daughter, the one who has no interest what-so-ever in "riding" horses got the idea to rescue an old horse from the slaughter pen.
And so in 2020... Leah started it all for us...
She sports a ranch brand on her hip... reading "Diamond Bar P"... shes is said to be up in her mid to late 20's in age.... and we figure she got too old to keep up on the ranch or too old to breed and so she found herself at an auction, then purchased by a kill buyer and bound for the border of Mexico to be slaughtered.
We intercepted her, paid her bail, and got her out of there.
She is healthy, happy and my daughter spoils her rotten with grooming & bathing! She will live out her years safe & well cared for here with us!

This is our sweet Helen.... she came to us a few years ago... sick .... and on top of that... partially deaf & blind.
She didn't stay sick & skinny for long... she thrived with meds, great food, special attention & lots of hugs & kisses...
And was soon fat & healthy.

She always "mothered" any animal she was around so we made the decision to let her be a mommy....on New years day 2023... she welcomed her own baby boy into the world and has literally been the BEST MOTHER ever!
She was so proud of him... "showing him off" to us...
Helen is precious and we love her so very much!

One of our rescues... her name is Maxine.
She still has a ways to go... but we are gaining weight & getting healthier every day!
Here at our farm.... we have lots of "special needs" animals & ones that came to us in need of TLC... its always great when we can see them becoming healthy & happy with our help and love.

We've started farm tours again!

Every tour ends with a weiner roast & smores around the fire pit!
We have also hosted bday parties.... and family get-to-gethers!

If you have visited our farm, you may have noticed some of the hand painted items and the pallet wood furniture. My 15 year old daughter does all of this by herself! She buys the supplies with her own money and creates these masterpieces! She will have hand painted items out for sale and she plans to have some furniture for sale also this spring & summer! The first picture are her latest creations and they will be available. The others are items are some she has made in the past...and if ud like.. u can place an order before your farm tour visit!
Remember.. we do reservation only but can do short notice visits also!

Spring is coming!

We can only hope & pray we have a summer like we started with last fall!!!
We have added & are currently adding many new animals & more exotics for you to enjoy!
We had so much positive feedback last fall when we first opened & hope to only improve this year!
We will continue to allow interactions & feeding with the animals which makes us different than ur average trip to other places where u only get to "look at them"... And we have even more animals to feed and play with now....
Adding more Exotics Feb 4th...

We've also hosted several "fun on the farm" birthday parties & currently have 2 already booked for March & one in May!
If that's something that interests u.. please let us know...

We will still be offering our weiner roast & smores at the end of the tour...as that seemed to be a hit!

Our hours are-
Friday evening
4 -7 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday
9 a.m to 12:00 p.m.
12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

From June to mid-August.... we will book weekday visits as well as weekends!
From mid-August to winter close... we will go back to our weekends only schedule!

Welcome to Fuerst Bit of Heaven Farm!

We are a small family farm local to Bowling Green, Mo. which consists of my husband
Scott, Candice (myself) & our three children!

I've always loved animals and nurtured any that came my way...
After buying this farm in 2021, we decided in the fall of 2022 to open our dream come true -

THIS IS A WORKING FARM...so your kids are able to take a small peak inside real farm life... We ALSO rescue MANY animals in need, give them a second chance, and in addition to this, we have opened our family farm as a way to share the same joy we see daily by watching & caring for all of our animals in a farm style environment.

We are closed for winter from November 1st to March 1st.
In 2023.. we are hoping to offer "public hours" of Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- with our special "full access" reservations still available on Friday evenings & Saturday evenings.

"Full access" private tours:
Activities include an up-close and personal, interactive tour of our farm. On your tour, some animals you will encounter include- Emus, a baby sulcata tortoise, a bearded dragon, a 4 ft Blue iguana, sugar gliders, a coatamundi, ferrets, African Grey parrots, a penicillata marmoset, hedgehogs, chinchillas, guinea pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkeys, peacocks, large domestic hogs, Mangalista pigs as well as KuneKune pigs, horses, mini horses, cows, Patagonian Cavy, Zebu cattle, a Python snake (if requested), Watusi and longhorn cattle and more!
We will have babies of different species throughout the year to share with you
To finish up our private tour-there will be a family style hot dog roast around the fire pit with Smores for dessert & Sweet tea to drink
