The SMILE OF SUCCESS!!! After taking more than 2 years off from showing, I entered the ring with Mr.Famous! We were undefeated from point 1 to the final point captured here. Famous finished his American Championship in just 3 weekends of showing, exclusively by me... his Daddy. He also managed to pick up three Group placements along the way. COLOR MARKING.....Many have asked why do you mark with the color markings or different color ribbons....here's why. When bichon babies are born, they all look like white mice, and once s*x is identified, puppy is weighed, time of delivery recorded a color is given. This is how that puppy is identified and his/her weight is properly charted. If a pups weight declines consistently between feedings, it's a sign that either it's ill, not warm enough, or not getting enough milk and may need supplementing until it get strength to fend for itself during the competitive feedings. Once they are weaned from their mothers milk, they are then given the same color "ribbon" to again properly identify and chart their progress until named and placed.
