This was once a bud at the end of one of our chives.
We have been watching this for sometime and just letting it grow and grow and today it finally popped and blossomed.
This blossomed flower is edible and able to be used in dishes.
We just might use this in a soup or a fresh salsa of some kind!

Our fruit tree had buds break out!
This is a super exciting thing to happen in the garden and tree growing world!
It took some time for these buds to actually break!
Our fruit tree was a bare root fruit tree, so basically it looked and appeared like a stick with a short root system with no dirt.
I had my doubts as I got to planting this a bit later than I would have preferred to.
As we look now we can see that there was no need to doubt.
This pear tree is going to be great for the family to enjoy in the future!

We have started to make several changes for some new additions to our garden.
Mushrooms!
But before we do that we decided to use some handy dandy cardboard to layer our walk areas to help suppress weeds and some other growth.
This is just one stage of what is happening in order to prepare for some straw mulch, which will be the source for growing our mushrooms.
We are ecstatic for what is to come because believe this is going to be a great thing to harvest in our garden.

Our peach tree planting day started with strong winds blowing over our camera and destroying it. Fortunately we were able to salvage some of the recordings on the memory card.
Well it was 1st person point of view through the process.
We received some of our fruit trees from @starkbros and began planting them when the day was right for us. It has been amazing to see how well these fruit trees have taken so far. More buds breaking out after planting day and it excites us for the future!
