Beautifully said!

IT'S NEVER EASY seeing kittens at the clinic. Of our 17 cats run to The Nobody's Cats Foundation today, 12 of them are kittens. All shelters and rescues are full, so these and many other kittens will be spayed/neutered and returned back outside.

We know this upsets you like it upsets us. Please turn your passion into action.

Ways you can help:

🐾 Volunteer to trap community cats - we have our last TNR Basics class coming up in August.
🐾 Do not support allowing pregnant cats to give birth, either on the streets, or in rescue care.
🐾 Donate to TNR clinics and share their posts
🐾 Stop giving away "free" kittens, and stop taking them from people without having them altered.
🐾Promote spay/neuter and provide resources when you see the need for it.

AND YES!! Fostering saves lives! (Edited because our FFN Friends are correct and also looking for new fosters!)

Mooooooooonshiiiiiiiiine🌛

This charismatic girl has been with CKR for a year and a half. Her story is a tough one to read, I’ll share her full story below.

March 2024 she came in quite pregnant, brought to us temporarily to hold until she had her kittens or she could get to clinic. She delivered 6 premature babies and one by one we lost them all. Moonshine showed me the heartbreaking side of kitten loss from a mother cat’s perspective.

She went into a depression, lost fur, wouldn’t eat, and I had to hand feed her just to keep her going. When we had pregnant temporary hold kitty named Mamasita come in, Moonshine became a feline midwife. I have photos of them cuddling, moonshine was with her every moment that I allowed.

Once kittens and other moms rolled in, Moonshine would be right by my side to do weight checks on the kittens, groom them and “babysit” while the moms stretched their legs and ate. She would then return the love to the nursing moms. I watched her sparkle come back over a period of 6 months.

She went to another foster home temporarily as she was supposed to be returned to her original home. However, they no longer wanted to return her outside. Then another opportunity for a home in October 2024 came up, and fell through… No one seems to look twice at the older all black cat…

Moonshine will be your shadow, 24/7 this girl had your back. She will chirp motivational mantras while you clean, head butt you when you need some extra love, and supervise the world from the highest perch she can fine. She knows the rollercoaster of mental health struggles, she has lived them and coped. I’ve never related more to a cat’s mental struggles, her emotional intelligence still impresses me.

She will be to the food bowl, first to the treat bag, and first to squeak WELCOME HOME when you have had a long day.

She tolerates canine companions, gets along with other cats, but loves any and all humans above all else.

Full of love… Full of life… Just waiting for her person or people🖤

Remi (more white markings) and Rose are still waiting on their forever homes!

We have decided if they cannot go together, that’s okay. They get along well with other cats and can be adopted to homes with existing feline family members!

ADOPTED

Two sweet siblings were found beside a creek a few weeks back…

The tabby and white brother (Franklin) is brave, sweet, and lucky he is cute because he isn’t the brightest bulb in the box!

The sister (Winnifred) is a typical Torti girl who knows what she likes, voices her opinions, and loves you as hard as she can.

This duo is bonded, Winnifred doesn’t go anywhere witout her brother. And if they get separated she will call for him until they are reunited.

Franklin and Winnifred are available for foster to adopt homes where they will be allowed to settle into their forever homes while still being under the medical care of us here at CKR until their spay/neuter.

Love (and babysitters) can come in all shapes and sizes. Oreo takes a little extra time out of his day to check on the kittens, just a few months of kindness but it’s so sweet to see🤍
