That’s a wrap on the 2024 AMHS National Championship Show. A well run event, with great competition, great friends and had a great time away. So good for the soul 💙 So proud of our achievements for our very first national event too. Check out our prize haul!

Highlights being Adam - Supreme Tiny Tot Youth Performance and Scorchie and I won Supreme Long Reining.

I ran the AMHS Summer Scorcher Show on the weekend, and what a cracker of a show it was. Just under 70 exhibits and a handful of youth made for brilliant competition.

Very grateful for the undercover arena at Bungendore Showgrounds as the show lived up to its name in being a scorcher! Definitely a venue I’ll pursue again for future shows. It was a lovely, relaxing weekend surrounded by new and old horsey friends. Awesome people. Awesome horses.

Poor little Benji did well with the kids, but I scratched him on day two after the harness as he was absolutely buggered.

A few snaps from the Tuggeranong Adult Riding Club (TARC) Spring Spectacular. First show for the season with some good placings including Louie swooping up Reserve Champion Any Other Breed and Reserve Champion Pinto. Lots to work on for the upcoming AMHS Southern Tablelands Yass Show over the long weekend.

Headed out for a drive down at Bungendore Showground with our newbie, Pizzazz. He was a pretty good boy. A bit spicy if we weren’t moving forward, but for his first outing with me, that’s to be expected. Some long reining halt and patience practice is in order!

Introducing RIVINGTON Steppin Out. “Scorchie” to his family and fans. Scorchie is a rising 7 year old Welsh Mountain Pony gelding by Rivington Vyvyan and out of Nilton Siskin.

He joined our family going on 2 years ago as the perfect little show pony and has gone on to excel in hand with the kids and in harness before an injury saw him out of action a few months back which then led to a bout of laminitis. It’s been a slow recovery, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel and we are looking forward to getting out and about with him again this show season.

He has so much presence, a ground covering trot and attitude in spades!! He has a huge future ahead of him in the show ring and I’ll make a CDE harness horse out of him yet 🤣

Introducing Anyssa Park Ultimate Angel, a Warrior baby. Angel is rising 4 and is showing huge potential in performance and Showjumping and has just started long reining training in preparation for a future harness career with the kids.

Angel is such a sweet soul, as well as being the ultimate Houdini - a total escape artist, often found munching on the greener grass in our neighbours paddocks 🤦🏻‍♀️

She’s a nightmare to prep for a show too - I question my sanity for buying a completely white, pink skinned horse every time I need to prep her for show 🤣

But, we wouldn’t be without her. She tries her little heart out at everything she does, and it’s a fight between the kids over who gets to take her in the ring to compete.

She’s got quite the future ahead of her 🩷

Introducing our unicorn, Benjaylin Laconic Statement, or Benji as he’s known to everyone. I’m not ashamed to say that he is my absolute favourite of our herd - my heart horse. This little dude does it all. There’s nothing he can’t do!

Benji joined our family as a weanling back in 2011. He was my very first mini, after realising that riding wasn’t for me anymore, following a serious horse riding accident that caused me to break my back. He made having a horse fun again. No more fear, and I haven’t looked back.

Though he had a few years back with his breeder while we settled in to having our triplet boys, he’s re-joined us and has gone on to teach the kids to handle horses and ride.

He has many titles to his name, particularly in performance and at 12 years old, he’s now also just entering the harness world.

He really is the ultimate all-rounder 🩷
