The bride-to-be searches diligently for the One she adores. Once she finds Him she fastens herself to Him. Having suffered the consequences of sending Him away, she declares that she “refuses to be feeble in her heart again.”
Let’s make that our commitment as well, with the Beloved’s help, refusing to be feeble in our heart again.

“My angry brother’s quarreled with me and appointed me guardian of their ministry vineyards, yet I’ve not tended my vineyard within.”

Ministry is meant to be the overflow of our intimate relationship with the Beloved. Anything else is probably just soulush striving.
The brothers took advantage of her zeal and unhealed wounds of shame and assigned her a lot of ministry tasks. However, she lost her first love in the process by not tending to her relationship with the Beloved.
Shame leaves us vulnerable to anything that makes us feel better about ourselves. So it’s easy to get busy in ministry. Ministry can never HEAL the shame.
On the other hand, time in His presence opens the door for healing and restoration in a most unique and permanent way. It’s amazing!
