A great read

How much weight can a horse carry?

In my experience, a horse can carry an infinite amount.

They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. Moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person, horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams; and they will carry the stress from your day when you can’t carry it anymore.

They carry graduations, they carry new careers, they carry moves away from everything familiar, they carry marriages, they carry divorces, they carry funerals, they carry babies before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes, they carry joy, they carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations.

They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs.

If you let them, they will carry you through life, and life is hard, life is heavy. But a horse will make you feel weightless under it all.

“Boston"

A stunning 14.3hh dapple grey 7 year old Gypsy Cob cross (quarter horse) gelding. Boston is a beautiful boy who turns heads wherever he goes with excellent confirmation.

He has lovely movement with 3 clear established paces. Is currently competing preliminary dressage averaging 64% and is training novice movements.

A true allrounder that is willing to try for his rider.
This season he has successfully competed in dressage, hacking, show jumping (with the ability to go higher), obstacles and cross country.

He is an absolute pleasure to own, can be paddocked alone or with other horses and does not get separation anxiety at home or out completing. He is good to catch, trim (as he has great feet and is currently bare foot), float and wash. He is up-to-date with feet, teeth and worming and has no health issues. Currently in competition condition.

Boston is still a little green and requires a kind, sensitive and confident rider in order to progress his training.

Reluctant sale due to lack of time. Genuine enquiries only. Will only be sold to the best of homes.

8yr old 14.3hh Welsh D gelding by EIRAM'LORD
3 very lovely loose paces and a kind disposition.
So much more scope to come as his training develops.
He is a super sweet guy however is sensitive and does require a stable confident rider to obtain the best out of him.

Our first clinic for the year is up on nominate now.
This will be held on the Australia Day long weekend.
Friday will be dressage lessons with Kristy Battista.
Sunday is a 40ish minute protocol/meet the judge session with a difference. You will ride your test wearing a headset and be able to receive direct feedback from both judge and coach on how to improve your scores.
Open to both club and EA members.
Cost - Friday - $70 lesson (club members)
$75 for EA members

Sunday - $100 session (club members)
$105 for EA members.

$10 discount if having booking both Friday and Sunday.

Limited spots available.

A few pics of Penny at Fig Tree Pocket the other weekend. Feeling more secure in our training which is so nice.
One very hot day so I was glad we were on early even if that did mean out of bed at 3.45am

She loved the grounds there which is a very big bonus.

Today was a day where I chose to not ride myself but be there for many of my students and my friends. I’m sure my horse was very grateful for the day off.

So many absolutely gorgeous messages from many students with their highs and some lows too…and a lovely message from a judge about a students improvement.

This sport is hard and we need support from our friends and colleagues to congratulate us on the highs and help us through the lows.

6 year old 16hh warmblood mare by Dark President.
Delta is a lovely forward going mare with a look at me presence. She has 3 very expressive paces with her canter being a highlight.
Delta has a lovely connection to the bridle and is feather light in her body.
She is super brave in new surroundings however does require a rider that is sensitive to the needs of a young horse.

Penny in her first elementary tests last weekend.
