Dear FRIENDS
Presto's Thoracocentesis procedure is scheduled for tomorrow August 5th at 11 am, check in at the hospital at 10 am.
The estimate for tomorrow's veterinary care is $420, and we need urgent help to raise that amount.
Our dear friends and followers, could you please help us with the veterinary bills for Presto? We would be very grateful for your help. We will put estimates and invoices of Presto's veterinary care in the comments.
We are humbly asking for $5 donations towards Presto's procedure, his fluids in the chest cavity have to be removed, right now Presto's breathing is labored, and it is vital for those to be removed. We are going to try for the third and last time to do this procedure, hoping there will be some positive change towards Presto's recovery. Since the origin of the pressure on the vessel is not known, we are trying to take care of the symptoms, and praying that now that Presto lost some weight, and has been taking antiinflammatories, the pressure on the vessel in the chest cavity will decrease, and the Thoracocentesis procedure will no longer be needed afterwards.

Algo que me quedó por decir en el post anterior, donde hablábamos de los gatos en Grecia y Roma, es que la palabra griega AILORIUS, que hoy asociamos a los gatos, realmente significaba “cosa con la cola ondeante”, lo que podía referirse a varios animales de cola larga cazadores de ratones.

Pero tal como vimos el jueves, que predominaron los gatos sobre hurones y marmotas, la palabra AILORIUS quedó para los gatos.

De ahí que se use “ ailurofobia”, para describir el miedo persistente e intenso a los gatos, y “ailurofilia”, para el amor hacia los gatos.

Dear Friends of Bastet House, our PRESTO is going to have another procedure done tomorrow morning, August 5th, to help with his abnormal breathing and to get rid of fluids in his chest cavity.
