The first veterinarian in the US to dedicate their entire practice to the care of cats was Louis Camuti (1893-1981).

Before his work in promoting cats as pets they were seen as nuisance or working animals only.

He said his love of cats came from a childhood incident in which a cat warned him of leaking gas in his home.

His autobiography was whimsically called “All My Patients Are Under The Bed”.

This morning we are taking our teenage kitten Lolli to be neutered. We've succeeded with the funds for his surgery. 🐱💐

Friends, we still need help with Dumka's surgery our second boy, who needs to be neutered.
If you can, and would like to make a donation for DUMKA, we would be very grateful. 🐾🩷
He is our rescued, about 2 years old neighborhood cat, abandoned by the neighbors who moved out and left him on the street, with a ringworm and getting bald. Dumka is still young and adoptable.
Please help us to get Dumka neutered. 🙏🐾
In order to have the surgery, Dumka needs
1) Vet exam,
2) Flea medication, he is highly allergic to fleas,
and
3)a bloodwork to be approved for the surgery,
4) surgery itself.

Back in December Dumka had a very high fever of unknown origin, and the cause was not determined by the thorough bloodwork done at that time.
Now we need another blood work to proceed with the surgery for Dumka.
Consultation/exam at the Davies Animal Medical Hospital is $69, the
Dose of Revolution is $30, and the
Bloodwork is $150+
The Neuter Surgery is $179, it includes vaccines and microchip.

Here's on example if a feeding station that raccoons (& other wildlife) can't get into. The biggest negative is senior cats or any others with issues making it difficult to jump into. 💕😻

“So why do it?” they asked, their voice softer this time.

I sighed, glancing down at my hands. “Because the love they give you is worth every bit of the heartache. They teach you how to love without holding back, even when you know it’s going to hurt in the end. And you keep choosing that love because you know it’s one of the best things you’ll ever feel.”
