Glad I can communicate with this little guy just like a human. Tonight he wanted to be out in the front yard with Ronnie but Ronnie was working on his golf cart with his head turned away with earphones on so he couldn't hear or see us. I wanted him to know Boomer was out there before I went back inside as we don't have a fence in our front yard. So I said, Boomer go let your dad know you're out here. He wanted to go mark his territory first but I insisted he let Ronnie know first that he was out there and he ran right over and stood in front of Ronnie wagging his tell and smiling to let him know he was there. When he knew he had done what I asked, that Ronnie was aware he was there, he proceeded to go mark his territory. Amazing dogs.

This is Hatcher another one of Boomer Molly pups that will be in training for therapy dog. These were such awesome pups. Isn't he handsome. My friends Ariel and Jeff has provided such a great loving home for him. They love him so much.

Two years ago today we were bringing these little angels into this world. Happy 2nd birthday to Mason, Major, Hatcher Marney, Shiloh Maddie, Haddie Arrow, and Mercy Macy. Thank you Karen Brewer, John Brewer, Ariel Nicole, Betsey Levesque, and Deb Deb Bouse Cross for being such loving owners to these pups and for being our friends. Such a blessing to know you.

This is just another story about this wonderful breed of dogs. Another member, Caroline Betts in The English Shepherd Society shared this story. OK long story ahead. You have to love farm life!! Last night I went out to bring the goats in and there were no goats. Walking the fence lined I found a small area that was down because of a branch. Nothing but woods and the Creek behind the field. Kevin and Yukon and myself with two inadequate flashlights tromped all around the night woods trying to find those goats. Yukon kept leading me to the Creek but I was not about to cross it because it's about 40 to 60' across. Finally gave up and hiked back to the house. Fast forward to a call this morning from a neighbor that spotted the goats near their barn. As I was hustling down to get grain my other neighbor came up and said they were able to get them in their round pen. I went down the driveway with my invaluable farm manager, Yukon. We were making headway and just turned on the drive to head back to the farm when the other neighbor's chocolate lab came running out and the goats turned tailed and ran back out in a field edged by woods and took off Into the woods. I sent Yukon and then hiked across the field and into the woods myself. Hiking through the woods I came to the small stream and started to follow it back toward home. Yukon and the goats were long gone. As I was coming out of the woods by the culvert Yukon met me and escorted me backup the driveway. Bless his MOST wonderful heart he had brought the goats out of the woods somehow and then up the driveway through the gate and put them in the barn lot!! I think I would marry this dog!! 🤣🥰🤣 Yukon pushed the goats in the barn and into their stall and I locked them firmly in. I am on my way back from Walmart with chicken leg quarters and I believe that Yukon is going to get two!!❤❤❤ It's a little bit scary to think but I don't know what I would do without him.

Ariel, Hatcher and Jeff. I just love this couple and am thrilled how much they love and care for Hatcher. He's brought Joy to them and I'm certain they have provided the most perfect home for him. Can you see Boomer and Molly in his handsome little face? Has Boomers coloring for sure.

This little guy, our Mason continues to amaze his owners, Karen and JD Bower. This is the PM she sent me about Mason. Pretty cool, uh? Love hearing these stories.

Usually J.D. eats poached eggs for breakfast. This morning he decided on scrambled. After I scramble eggs I scrape off what sticks to the skillet & give it to the dogs. As soon as I started cooking those eggs Mason started stalking me. He took every step I took. Never did figure out how he knew the eggs were scrambled this morning.

Back to poached eggs this morning & Mason lay down in the corner and watched like normal rather than walking around with me.

A year ago yesterday a wonderful family from Connecticut flew here to meet our pups and took our Marney now Hatcher and our Arrow, now Haddie to be part of their families. They have been wonderful puppy parents to these two sweet puppies. This is a video Ariel sent to me yesterday of their trip home with the pups. Can't believe it's been a year already.

Just an example of what a good mother my Molly is. Tonight she wanted me to follow her to the back door and I was assuming she wanted to go outside. Molly and the other dogs except Mercy had all come inside earlier but Mercy wanted to stay outside. Instead of going outside when I opened the door she stepped back a few steps and looked at Mercy who was sitting in the yard facing us. When she saw us standing there she ran to us and once in, Molly started initiating play with Mercy and they played and I noticed as they played (both with huge smiles) Molly was sniffing and checking her daughter out. That was so funny that Momma was calling in her children.

Boomer brag. I was sitting at a light and looking down at my phone. Boomer was standing with this hind legs in back seat, front legs on console. Light turned green, I was still looking down. Mr. Boomer nudged me with his nose to let me know light had turned or maybe more that the car in front of us was going and we were not. At any rate, my little smart guy watches over me. Oh and another thing he did this weekend that just makes me fall deeper in love with him. He dug and dug in their toy box and brought out the newest toy and took it to the door to be let outside. He went outside all the puppies surrounded him and he dropped it and left it for them and soon wanted to come back inside. He also lets me know when I need to feed them by going to their puppy dog food sack and putting his nose on it then walking off.

Archive from last summer with the puppies.
So like tonight I washed the pups off that had been outside all day in the rain and mud and put them in their tent for bed time. One of my little ones kept barking and whining and I ask Boomer and Molly, what do I need to do ? Do I need to get him out and rock him to sleep?, Take him outside to potty? Does he need to eat?......So they are looking at me and look at each other then both get up and walk to the laundry room where the dog food sacks are sitting and boomer puts his nose on the Puppy Food

sack, and then Molly goes and sits in front of tent. I think that's called putting a sentence together how mom can understand. So I took a cup of dog food and put it in the tent and the puppy quieted down and they are all konked out asleep. Boomer and Molly went back to their perspective sleeping spots. Thank you my wise puppy parents for helping me solve that one.
