Silkie-Frizzle Chicks hatched on 3/29/2024. $10/each.

They could either be 100% Silkie or 50% Silkie/50% Frizzle.

The Silkie and Frizzle Roos are black. The hens are 100% Silkie, 3 white and 1 black.

Can meet you at Tractor Supply in Statesville for exchange.

We have two darling little Chinchillas born on October 25, 2023. Available for adoption as early as December 20, 2023 (8 weeks old), providing they weigh 200 grams and only to someone experienced with Chinchillas or proves to us that they have done their research.

$200 for one (not both). Unsure of s*x at this point but will update this post when we are certain.

If you don't know about Chinchillas, please do some research about them. They have 20,000 hairs per square inch so need to be kept in a cool environment (60-72) and can never get wet (they take dust baths). They need pellets and Timothy hay and things to chew on. There are very few treats you can give them from the kitchen, but you can buy specialized treats for them. They p**p. A LOT! They use a litter box, but without a doubt their little p**ps will scatter around their cage. (Thank God, they are easy to sweep or vacuum up!) I wanted to share that because that was a big surprise to me.

We have 3 Chinchillas. One (Archie) that was held a lot when he was young and he is so very sweet. The others weren't held much while young and are still hand shy. We can hold them, but they don't enjoy it like Archie does. PM if interested.

We have new baby Holland Lop-Eared Bunnies! 8 weeks old and ready to be adopted!

Jolene and Striking has their first encounters with their herdshires today. Alpacas (like rabbits) do not ovulate on a regular basis-they are "induced-ovulators" because females require the :act" for the egg to be released from the o***y. If the female is receptive, she lays down ("Cushes") and the male knows what to do. The act takes lasts for 15-20 minutes. (I'm thinking that sentence might evoke many jokes!) And ovulation occurs 26 hours after mating. The couples will meet again in a week and if the female spits at the male - she's pregnant. If not, do it again and again until she spits! lol! 11.5 months later - crias are born! (Cria is Peruvian for baby.)

Apparently, Jolene was a bit shy - cuz it was her first time. Striking, however, remembered her previous suitor and welcomed him quickly. LOL!

We took our 3 Alpacas to Graceful Acres Farm today to breed our females (Striking and Jolene). We also took male cria (Mattisse) so he could hang with the boys and not be alone here. So, this is the reunion of Jolene and her mama! But then Jolene got concerned about Mattisse so went looking for him. Not her son but she’s a good aunt! (Took us about an hour to load them in the trailer 🤪).
