Join Our Team - Part-Time Scooping Technician Needed 🐾

Are you looking for a flexible part-time job where you can work independently and enjoy the outdoors? Urban Landmines is hiring a Part-Time Scooping Technician to join our pet waste removal team.

Position: Part-Time Scooping Technician
Location: 2474 N George St York PA
Hours: 1 weekday per week, approximately 4-5 hours per day (with occasional coverage for other employees)
Pay: $17.00 per hour, with performance raises beginning at 90 days

Job Description:
As a Part-Time Scooping Technician, you will be responsible for driving our company truck to residential locations using our route system on your smartphone. Your main duties will include efficiently and professionally scooping, bagging and hauling away the waste, and communicating with clients regarding your arrival and completion of services. Occasionally, you may be asked to cover for other team members.

Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to use a smartphone and navigate our route system.
- Physically able to lift and carry waste bags and operate scooping equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients courteously and professionally.
- Detail-oriented and reliable with a strong work ethic.

The fourth of July is near and what better way to celebrate than with fireworks and sparklers. Although it may not be expected, dogs will chew on and eat fireworks and may become anxious due to the unexpected, loud sound. When ingested dogs can have GI upset, obstruction, and even damage to their red blood cells. It’s best to keep your furry friends inside while enjoying the pyrotechnics!

It's going to be in the 90s all week, Don't. Take your pet. Your pet is always safer at home rather than in a hot car while you run errands, even if it's just a few minutes.

According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, the heat in a car can rise by:

🌡20 degrees in just 10 minutes
🌡30 degrees in 20 minutes
🌡40 degrees in an hour

And guess what? Cracking the windows doesn't help.

If you see a dog in a hot car, get help. Notify the business where the car is parked so they can assist in finding the dog's owner. Provide them with the car's make, model, and license plate number. If the owner can't be found, contact the police and wait nearby for them to arrive.
