This is the first time that Bodhi has met with his little sister since coming home to live with us. Willow and bodhi share the same dad in Blucher but different mothers, Bodhis mum is layla and willow has ebony as her mum ( ebony is a lilly and Louis daughter)...they lived together before Bodhi was returned to me several months ago and haven't seen each other until this afternoon. I do believe that they recognised each other, playing well together and with the others. When it was time to part both were happy to do so. It just shows you that time is a great healer. ❤

Bodhi and lilly.
I feel that Bodhi's journey has reached its final destination. He loves his walks, his food, his lifestyle and loves his life with us. As many of you know, I have 17 dogs that live as our family. We don't have kennels, we do not use crates (not that I'm saying there isn't a place for them when used correctly, but it's just not the way we live) all our dogs enjoy our home and use our home fully even coming to bed at night time and Bodhi loves this way of living. He feels secure, confident, calm and self-assured back within our fold.
To quote the Beatles...all you need is love...love is all you need. Well done Bodhi Bach....

Bodhi and his littermate Yanto enjoying the lovely Indian Summer we are having, chasing and searching for the ball ,well that was yanto, while Bodhi chased and had fun running after him 😊 He really does love being out with the pack, interacting with confidence and ease.
On a health note, Bodhi doesn't appear to shake his head anymore!..not for several weeks so I'm keeping everything crossed that this will continue. Not sure if this is due to the steroid injection with 2 weeks course of synolux or the daily Quercetin capsule he has daily in his breakfast. Whatever it is, he has improved and that's all that matters. He now eats everything too, just like ours! So nothing is now off limits, not even chicken.

Bodhi has finished his antibiotics and ear drops and so far so good!
We have very minimal, if any, head shaking only actually a head shake when he's excited or nervous.
I am more than happy to say that despite being returned with anxiety issues, self harming, inappropriate play, allergies and barking, Bodhi now shows non of those symptoms and traits....infact I'd go as far as to say he's an easy personality and enjoyable to be around both for the family and the other dogs 🐩...

Happy, settled and enjoying life back home, Bodhi is a much loved family member who loves his walks, his food, the company of all other dogs and most certainly his bed 😊 Now all we need to do is to get his ear problems sorted.
After grooming him a week last Sunday, his ears flared up and so I called Vlad the vet who came and prescribed a course of antibiotics, gave a steroid jab and ear drops suspension called Aurizon. We will see how we progress with this and failing a positive result Vlad will then swab his ears to culture what is the source of the problem is. So far his head shaking has eased up where we are almost back to the way he was when he arrived.

Today Bodhi had his first visit to my groomshack. He was incredibly well behaved and didn't make to much of a fuss when it came to shaving his feet, but was more than happy when he could come down off the grooming table and have his dinner...well done boyo❤🐩❤

Sat 10th July
It's been 3 weeks since Bodhi arrived home with his bed, collar lead harness, his food and extras, not forgetting Brian his bear and comfort blanket. He has enjoyed walking, playing, eating, drinking and sleeping with the pack and has eased his way into their lives, following their lead and daily routines. I must say that the transition between foster carers and coming home was pretty seamless. Yes we had the 3 days of mourning where Bodhi refused to eat and where he let out a few howls by the front door which he laid by, but I expected this and let him come to terms with the situation in his own good time.
So 3 weeks in and we decided that to rehome Bodhi would not be fair to him. I wouldn't want him to be stressed anymore and so he will continue to live with us.
He continues to thrive. I see no issues (still early days) in his physical or mental state...no signs of allergies, no self harming, no rough or aggressive play (although Danny did have to tell Bodhi on one occasion that his behaviour was inappropriate and Bodhi acknowledged this...they then moved on, no grudge held. He shakes his head occasionally but it doesn't cause him or me any distress and over time I'm hoping that this will sort itself out.
Bodhi eats a raw diet with added prokolin and fibre pelets.

Wednesday 30th June
It's been 12 days since Bodhi arrived and as we can see from the photos and videos I've posted Bodhi has well and truly settled back at home. Things couldn't have gone better or easier...well done Bodhi.
He loves sleeping on the coffee table (I wonder what Miss T will think about that on her return home😁) enjoys sleeping on our bed ( roger far from impressed at Bodhi sleeping on his legs 😁) and enjoys sleeping on the corner chair...all in all he enjoys all his sleeping arrangements!😅
We are trying prokolin (probiotics)with his raw to help with the shaking (albeit its a shake here and there) and also adding fibre pelets to his meals. It's explained how probiotics are able to help with ear infections on the link below.

Monday 28th June
So Bodhi has settled well. No problems with eating any of his raw food and enjoying his hour long daily walks. Thankfully no more Fenton exploits🙂
Roger and I even managed a weekend away in the beautiful St. Pierre Hotel...a 16th century Manor house which has 400 acres of beautiful grounds and a busy golf course. Highly recommended if anyone was looking for a get away.
During this time billy and joel took care of the house and the dogs and did a great job of caring for them too! Bodhi showed no adverse reaction to our being away and was quite happy with the others lounging around the house and watching TV!...
Long may his successful journey to health and happiness continue.❤

Tuesday 22nd June
Today has been a smashing day for Bodhi. He ate 450g of raw Natures menu turkey for breakfast and enjoyed a nibbling on a marrow bone just before his tea, again raw turkey. We had a trip into Cardiff to drop off the two men working on our garden where Bodhi was made a huge fuss of and enjoyed every minute. This was followed by visiting the raw food shop where Bodhi weighed in just under 28kg and where we came away with lots of raw rabbit and duck meals for him.
Bodhis walking in the pack has vastly improved since his Fenton impersonation yesterday and I even left him off his long lead half way through the walk, enjoying running and playing with miss T and Ebony.

Monday 21st June...day 3.
Well Master B isn't in Roger's good books!... master B decided to go on his own walk around the streets! Helen the dog walker called me and both Billy and I jumped in the car to find the Welsh "Fenton!"...Anyways, the boy was quickly found, jumped into the back of the car and was completely unconcerned or bothered about the stress and anxiety caused by his wandering paws😁...unlike Roger who then spent the next 2 hours wandering the Gollars (our walk) looking to find the car keys only to find them where he had put them in his bag!..
No harm done there as roger managed to get his weeks "steps" in for the next week!.
Back to Bodhi...Bodhi then enjoyed a long lead walk with sassy and lilly and is now asleep on the sofa🥰

It's nearly 24 hours since Bodhi arrived home, so here is a concise update on this charming young fella.
Yesterday there were a few howls..nothing to distressing but did put a lump in my throat. He sits by the front door and waits and is refusing his food. This is all normal behaviour and will pass, especially when he starts going out for walks and enjoying the life back home.
Bodhi is relaxed, no pacing, panting or any signs of distress. He takes himself off to my bed when he fancies it and his tail is up and wagging.
No scratching, shaking (apart from his head now and again as he has a sore ear) or self harming.
Bodhi is quite happy with a very busy home and multiple dogs.
Well done Bodhi...I'm very impressed with you.❤🐩❤

Making the decision to part with your pup is such a difficult choice, and not one taken lightly but sometimes things don’t work out.
When you adopt a puppy your expectations are set with all the happy stories you see around you and on social media. Owning a dog is hard work at the best of times and if you’re willing to put in the effort you can nurture the most wonderful companion.
Sometimes, despite all your efforts, some things just don’t work out and the most selfless and kindest thing you can do is part ways to give them another chance.
Every dog is different and finding things that work for each one in their environment can be challenging.
Bodhes has been surrounded by love and support all his life. We have spent nearly 3 years desperately trying to create the right environment for Bodhes and for some unknown reason there was an imbalance we could not rectify. We made the decision to part ways as we knew Bodhi is not in a place where he could come on our journey across the other side of the world.
In the right environment, with the right support, this boy has the potential to really shine like his siblings and the rest of the wonderful dogs Jane has reared.

Hello and welcome to Bodhi's journey.
This page will be dedicated to Bodhi's journey to health and happiness, with the twists and turns that will be part of his rehabilitation to becoming free from anxiety issues, being able to play in a dog appropriate manner with other dogs, to be able to sustain a healthy appetite without getting an upset tummy and to be able to love life and to learn how to love himself.
So Bodhis journey starts today and here is his first picture taken by Karen, who collected Bodhi with Roger, from his foster home in Wiltshire today.
