Rabies results in thousands of deaths every year in over 100 countries mostly affecting communities with restricted access to health and veterinary systems. We believe through the massive vaccination of dogs, we will be one step to cosigning rabies to history books.

Animals most likely to spread rabies include dogs, bats, coyotes, foxes, skunks, and raccoons.

If a person is bitten by an infected animal, he begins to display symptoms which include fever, headache, excess salivation, muscle spasms, paralysis, and mental confusion. All of which most times leads to death.

We can save millions of lives if every pet owner ensures that their dogs are vaccinated.

Let us all join in the advocacy of one health; healthy people, healthy animals, and a healthy environment.

For most people, dogs are great companions as they can sit by you all day long.

While cats can be quite affectionate and attentive, but only up to a point. They tend to become bored or overstimulated easily unlike dogs, and at that point, they want to escape for a while.

What do you think? What pet do you prefer?

65% of Sudan’s 41.8 million people live in rural areas which are often arid. They depend on agriculture or livestock for income.

Divided by the Nile River and rich in fertile land, roughly a third of Sudan is suitable for agriculture. But many communities struggle with limited water or electricity supply. Many farmers have been using diesel-powered water pumps to irrigate fields from nearby wells or waterways. This is both expensive and unhealthy, for both the workers and the environment.

But Sudan gets sunlight year round. With funds from the Global Environment Facility, has been helping rural Sudanese communities to develop solar power and reduce dependency on fossil fuels.

Using solar energy with free sunlight, farmers are irrigating the same plot of land which used to require 16-17 barrels of gasoline for operating water pumps.

The importance of technology and innovation in Africa's farming industry cannot be overemphasised.
