Mama Penne has been enjoying playing with all the toys this afternoon, baby Gnocchi has turned two weeks old! Keep thriving 🥰

On the 7th of this month I was asked to help with a “ situation “ on a building site! Once arriving I was informed that there had been a stray living on site since November, which they discovered had kittens the night before. With the building site not being a safe place for a mama cat or kittens I decided to take them home.

When searching for this mama and her babies I was Informed that one of the builders believed to have stood on one of the babies as none of them knew they were there. Once finding mama and her babies I managed to hold mama securely while we checked over her babies.

One kitten was very much deceased as its internal organs were on display, we wrapped this little love up in a blanket, another was bitten and needed serious help.

When we arrived at the vets, they managed to check all the kittens over and confirmed two out of the 5 were no longer with us and that mama cat herself had caused the kittens injuries.

The next morning when I went into the foster room to feed mama and to check on her little ones, I found another baby had passed, the decision was then made to hand rear the remaining two, to give them the best chance of survival!

Sadly we lost the little girl yesterday morning, she was riddled with infection to the point her eyes, which were not yet open were swelling from puss! I can confirm that she was very content until her last breath as she purred until the very end.

Now we have one, a baby boy who is rather big for his age to say the least! He has turned 1 weeks old today. With mama now having no responsibility of taking care of her kittens she has become extremely friendly and loving.

As wev had sooooo many cats and kittens through the doors, we are now onto theme inspired names. Pasta!

Our angel babies that passed while with me, were named Macaroni and Teeny Weeny Tortellini, who was extremely small compared to her siblings.💔

The rescue world has been and still is very busy over the last few months, first I had a call about these baby bush babies George, Penny and Alice, Sadly George and Penny lost their fight for life and Alice experienced many seizures, nerve damage and a hernia BUT she was a true warrior and overcome all. She’s now living in a very loving forever home with her new big brother and sister!!! ( Black Kitten)

As soon as Alice started solids I had a call from the vet asking about advices and ended up with and extremely premature baby boy, Tiger who managed to fight until he was 3 weeks old! As Tiger was extremely premature there was a huge chance that his internal organs had not developed properly. ( Grey and White Kitten)

Minstrel is thriving, he can be rather vocal while playing and doesn’t wander far as he likes the reassurance!

From the little nervous boy who was being eaten alive by fleas ( literally) to the young boy who bounces off absolutely everything and loves everyone, your doing just fine sunshine 🌞

Delilah and her babies all found loving forever homes! For the first time in my fostering history they have all kept their names too!

Delilah was adopted with her biological daughter , Dolly and adopted daughter, Dinky!

Tobias and Trooper went as a pair!

Darcy is living the life of luxury and loves being front and centre of all the attention!

Mim has found a fascination for stairs and now has a beautiful big brother called Merlin!

Little Dinky Dot gets herself slightly frustrated when she’s trying to have a full feed, her older brothers and sisters keep pushing their way in. Meaning she’s not get enough milk.

Dinky Dot has been coming me to work so I can feed her exactly the amount she needs! She makes a good little apprentice 😅❤️

3 weeks on Monday and thriving 😍

Very happy with their progress so far, gaining weight every two days, feeds through the night are now every three hours and I will be introducing weaning mousse next week ❤️

Ash, Arlo and Arley your doing well boys 💙

They are still too young to regulate their own body temperature, so a kitten safe heat mat and safe hot spots are used to keep them warm and cosy. If these babies catch a chill their health can deteriorate very quickly! Toys are very new to these little ones so for now they are sharing their safe space with two giant fish and a mouse 😅
