I appreciate all the vendors that come out and make SASB Exotic Pet Expo what it is and when things go less than expected, I do blame myself. I want to see everyone prosper and go away with gains. I have also vended and understand that you don’t do well at every show. This will be another year of growing pains but, I am working on long term contracts with venues and the future is looking bright. Just stick with me guys, I’m not giving up and we will have the biggest exotics show in Alabama. I swear it, I manifest it and, it will happen.

Got another thought to throw out there. What if we did a monthly Birmingham show (like Dixi used to do) but also went to Dothan (Mobile, Florence….) mid month?

Allllrighty, so, me and the wife have been talking. The plan for now is, wait on income taxes and as soon as we get them in, start putting up billboards around/in the cities we plan to do a show in. It would probably put us in the position of doing 6 shows (we want time for people to see said billboards). It would put us doing Dothan, Mobile/Daphne area, Auburn, Birmingham, Montgomery, and Florence (if you guys want to try it again with better advertising and address given (not just building name)……… just talk to me guys, let me know what y’all are thinking, if you have any other cities you think would do well/better than the cities listed.

I’ve never claimed it as my show. It will always be our show. We both have to do well for it to grow.

I hate to end the year this way but I am going to have to postpone the Dothan Alabama Exotic Pet Expo. I have to wait on the venue to get back up with me. But, the new date will be announced soon.

Ran into a issue that either postpones the Dec 10-11 show in Dothan or cancels the show.

With postponing, it would cause us to need to move to another venue (possibly a better venue because it’s on the circle). But it would be the Houston County Farm Center on Dec 17-18.

If we cancel I’ll start trying to secure Mobile for December.

I really want to make this a group decision. Glad I haven’t purchased a billboard yet and hate that I shared the flyer. You that know me know how awful I feel about this.

Dothan Alabama Show is Dec 10-11. Please let me know if you plan to vend and let’s get started on tables planning better/more advertising so fingers crossed that it will pull in even more people than made it last time. Lots of people asking for it to happen again.

I learned a lot from the recent Florence Alabama show. I like to think I’m a humble, down to earth kind of person and would rather fill the show with vendors that come across as the same. I’m not for sale, Im not contracting out, it’s going to grow or fail because of me, I wasn’t happy with the floor plan I put up in Florence (completely my fault). I hope the majority understands it was my second show and a first for the area. I see potential in it and would like to give it a second chance in the future with better and more advertising.

Just wanted to say, thank you guys for coming out and giving it a chance, thank you again for following me up from the Dothan show, you guys are awesome and I hate it didn’t go well for some. A few said they saw me posting everywhere and some said they never saw the advertising. It’s growing pains and I am sorry for any discouragement as I genuinely want to see everyone do well. I may ask a few questions in the next couple days. I’m going to catch a hour or two before surgery time for the little guy and hope everyone made it/makes it home safe.

So, things are awful with little David. The spot on his head is necrotic and they went to clean him up, th hair fell out and it looks so bad. Going to try to get him transferred to SouthEast in Dothan. Best case is only one layer of skin is necrotic, worst case is reconstructive surgery. Just bare with me, I can’t cancel the show, I won’t cancel the show but just be patient and I’ll keep on keeping on just a little slower.

, bring your extension cords but they have a special tape they want used on the floor. Also, I doubt they have tablecloths but most of you have your own plus tablecloths are the last thing I’d worry about. I always say there is only one major rule that covers everything, represent your hobby/business in an responsible adult manner. I understand goofing off with other vendors but mostly saying keep your animals and areas clean.

Hey guys, trying to judge interest in doing another Dothan Alabama show. It would either be December 10-11 or December 17-18. I know we have got to get Florence said and done but wanted all you to weigh in on what dates would work best for everyone.
