Just returned from a trip and thought for a moment that Steffi might have eaten her sister. Then I remember I moved her sister out with the boys. She's a good size with 1.5 weeks to go.

Steffi was bred to a silver male with exceptional rosettes for a silver Bengal. Their litter has the potential to showcase silver kittens with extraordinary rosettes of the highest quality.

Haughty Girl Uma (aka Uma the Puma) has a couple more days to go...but will the kittens wait until the scheduled time? We'll know the answer soon enough! We expect nothing short of amazing, top quality clouded kittens.

I'm pains me to have to post this sort of thing, but it's clear to me it must be done. I must warn other breeders, and all cat lovers that Anna Sorokina is selling infected cats. Even when she knows they would be used in breeding. I know that you don't wish to purchase an infected cat for your cattery, or for your pet, so be sure not to buy one from this person. It is safe to assume all her cats have been exposed.

I received these two gorgeous kittens just before xmas, and parked them in my safest quarantine room possible. The boy was acting suspicious all along so I ran him to the vet for $450 worth of tests, including an upper respiratory panel. The results just came in?

He tested positive for FELINE HERPESVIRUS

Two extremely contagious viruses you never want in a cattery. While the kittens symptoms can be treated, the viruses are with them for life, there is no cure for either. The viruses kill newborn kittens, and can seriously affect their lives, even if they survive exposure at birth. No reputable breeder will work with such cats.

I hope it can also serve as a lesson to other breeders about the importance of quarantining all new cats brought into the cattery. I was very lucky and moved two others from my very best quarantine room so I could place these two in it. It is quite far away from any other cats, no other cats can get near it, and there is no ventilation involved with it which could potentially pass the virus. I avoid handling new kittens, spray disinfectant on my shoes after walking into the room, and wash my hands well.

What works better is to never sell infected cats to anyone, and especially when you know they will be used in breeding. That is absolutely disgusting.

As you can see by the evidence included in my post, Anna Sorokina does not believe she has done anything bad at all. According to her it's very normal for her to breed and to sell infected cats, and in all her time doing it nobody had ever complained. Something she can no longer claim.

Be careful everybody, there are lots of these terrible people out there willing to do and say anything to sell an animal! Anna Sorokina is only one of them.

January kittens coming soon! Picabo x Leo are expecting their babies on the 16th, while Uma x Neo are expecting their own on the 23rd.

Picabo (silver), Uma (snow-mink), and Neo (silver) are clouded Bengals, while Leo (brown) is a classic Bengal. The new arrivals will make for one heck of a start to the new year.

More wonderful kittens are expected in February and March. The future's looking so bright!
