NOT AT OUR RESCUE. Posting for educational purposes. These are pin-warms. Not an emergency BUT please get treatment soon. Also you’ll notice the poo is stringy, it’s fur. This tells you your bun needs to be groomed more. Also you can put a cap full of apple cider vinegar in there fresh water bowl every morning. It will help break down the fur and hopefully keep your bun from having an intestinal blockage. Check your buns poos often. 💩

Your bunny does not have the ability to cough. So if you have to sq**rt medicine and its mouth, you have to do it towards the front of the mouth behind the front teeth just a little bit at a time and then let them swallow. It is so easy to mistakenly give the medicine towards the back of the mouth and they can choke on it. The medicine will drip down and ooze into their lungs. Be careful!!

So your bun is litter trained but had an accident……
That was no accident! He or she is trying to communicate something. Example story: last night Pansy peed and 💩 on the fireplace bricks. This was very strange, she had never done. I remembered that this spot is where Mista Binx normally sits. Well then I realized I hadn’t seen Mista Binx in a couple hours. 😳 Where is Mista Binx? I searched and searched and searched. Obviously I’m getting a little worried at this point. Finally! I figured out that he was locked away in another room in a part of the house that he should not have been. Somehow the door has gotten closed. Now it makes sense! My Pansy was worried about her friend. She could not find him. That’s why she potty’d in his favorite sitting spot. She just didn’t know what else to do. 
So before you get frustrated with your cutie pies, try to think why? Try to figure out what they’re communicating, what their language is. These are such interesting and unique animals with amazing little personalities. I absolutely love what we do here at the Rescue and I love how bunnies have opened up my mind and my heart. ~Owner Amy Romleski

I’m putting this on here because it’s important that everyone understands how dangerous a cat bite or scratch IS to a rabbit. 2 years ago one of our volunteers unfortunately learned this the hard way.
And tonight unfortunately someone else has learned this hard way as well. If your bun has (or possibly has) ANY cat inflicted injury, your bun MUST go to a rabbit savy vet immediately.

Gratitude to some attentive ladies who monitored the well-being of this precious baby that was previously neglected. He is safe at the rescue!

Released in the neighborhood.... unfortunately 3 of his siblings weren't so lucky. They were left in the cages in the backyard of an abandoned home. So Sad.
This little one will have an amazing life now! Thank you to the sweet ladies that saved him.

🩷Her hero has named her Penelope 🩷🩷🩷

This sweet little girl was found last night at an apartment complex. She had been outside for days and her hero saw her under a vehicle. Her hero was able to reach under and catch her. She of course is dehydrated and has lost quite a bit of weight. She has urine scold on her backside pretty badly. The urine scold is probably from the previous owner. Apparently somebody that lived at the apartment complex is the one that released her. (I don’t understand people)

We are pretty full at the Rescue so we set her hero up with everything that she’ll need to hang onto her for a couple of weeks while we make a spot for her. I was able to evaluate her this morning. I think she will make a good recovery however we will work to get her into vet this week and schedule her spay. 

The sweet girl deserves so much better and we will make sure that she gets it!!!!
