Another great product to have on hand in case you have GI stasis bunny emergency.

Products should never replace a trip to your rabbit savy vet.
Anytime your bun has a problem please schedule a visit with your vet. Talk teeth, ears, urine, poos and abdominal health. Dental problems are one of the most common issues. Rabbit teeth are similar to horses and need to be trimmed and filled every so often.

Another wonderful story! When the bunny rescue first started we relied completely on the help of volunteers. Most of our volunteers were wonderful young ladies that would come help after school. One of these helpers was Ava. She lived in the neighborhood around the corner. Ava was a huge help and would often foster a bun that needed a little extra help. After a some of life's changes, Ava's mom approached me about possibly selling her house, but of course we needed to find another house first. My team and I quickly got everything lined up for them and she was able to make a smooth transition. Both closing on the same day! As you know a portion of EVERY TRANSACTION goes directly into the rescue. Because of Ava's kind heart and her amazing family, $5000. went into the non-profit Bugz Bunny Rescue, Bugs Rabbit Rescue Columbia SC We are so thankful!

This is a beautiful story that has come full circle.
We took Spike into the rescue on March 4, 2022. He was in terrible shape and I had to tell his previous owner that I did not know if he would make it through the weekend but we would do everything we could. Not only did he make it he did a complete 180 and thrived. His adopted parents are so in love with him and over the moon. We've kept in touch and she recently came back to us to purchase a home. A percentage of every real estate transaction goes directly back into the rescue. Because she purchased a home through The Romleski Group At Keller Williams, $1650 went into BugsBunnyRescue. Thank you so much for supporting this rescue and our mission.

We all know that bunnies have a very complex digestive system. Calcium buildup is a big part of this. We should all be aware of how much calcium is in the foods that we’re feeding our buns. Vegetables are considered a treat and not mandatory daily. If you are concerned that your bunnies gut balance is off, hold off on the vegetables. Calcium buildup is pretty easy to spot. You may notice some white residue on their cocoa puffs. This is after they have urinated on them. If you see this, there is too much calcium in their system. A buildup of calcium can cause kidney problems and bladder stones. I would definitely give vegetables a break and cut way back on the pellets for a few days pushing hay and fresh water.  I’m adding a chart so that you can see how much calcium is in different vegetables.
