This past Saturday Kibbles for Pibbles got to volunteer at Villalobos Rescue Center - Life 4 Paws, Inc. ! We got to pet all the puppies, walk the shelter pups, and give them lots of love. It was awesome! We even got lucky enough to walk a pair of best friends so they got to play together too!

These pups are just too stinkn' cute!

Puffin's puppies have been slow to receive adoption applications. We aren't sure why, as these german shepherd mixed babes are gorgeous and as sweet as can be.

As a reminder here are their bios (from left to right):

Brutus- He loves to climb and explore, is always at the front of the pack, and is always the first to pick up on new things. He absolutely adores being cuddled and loved on, and will be there for you whether you want to play or snuggle no matter what. He’s very intrigued by kitties and doesn’t quite understand why they don’t want to give him kisses back.

Livia- Nicknamed “Dobby” due to her funny floppy ears. She can be timid at first, but once she warms up to you she’ll never want to stop giving you kisses and wagging her tail. She loves stealing toys from her littermates so they’ll chase her around the house. Very affectionate, playful, and eager to learn! She thinks kitties are quite interesting, but a little scary.

Venus- frequently called “Stitch” or simply “Ears” due to her being the only puppy in the litter with large, pointy, upright ears. She’s talkative, independent, sassy, and so so sweet. She LOVES snow and rain and will gladly spend all day outside with you no matter the weather. She has no problem letting you know when she’s hungry, thirsty, or wants to go outside! She wants to PLAY with the kitties and will bark in protest when they run away from her.

Kenzie says "has it really been a year already?!

It's has my little tater tot... it has!

Today is the one year anniversary of Kibbles for Pibbles!

Thank you to everyone that has supported our cause to help the rescues give these sweet pups the best life ever waiting for their forever home!

Thank you to all the local businesses that have donated prizes and services to our contests!

Since we started we have donated close to $1700 in funds and supplies to local shelters and rescues! I hope to double that next year!

Here at Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit, we believe in ensuring the health and safety of all the animals in our community. That is why we are thrilled to announce a free vaccine and microchipping clinic for Detroit and Dearborn Residents and their canine friends.

Our first clinic will be held on Sunday, November 21 at our MaryAnn Wright Animal Adoption and Education Center located at 16121 Reckinger Road, behind the Dearborn Police Station. The clinic will run from 10am - 2pm, and no pre-registration is necessary. Families will be taken on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.

We will be offering:
Rabies Vaccine
DAPP
Bordetella
Dog Licenses
Registered Microchips
