We hope you all had a great Christmas, happy holidays 🎄
Hey everyone,
Just a reminder that Christmas time is super busy and fast approaching! Bookings have already started and are filling up so fast! Book in now to ensure your pooch is taken care of while you go away.
There have been some changes to my pricing…
Whilst your dog is in my care they will live as part of the family, not sit in a dog run and left alone overnight. Therefore, my prices reflect the quality and care of my boarding dogs and the time I’m taking away from family to work through these main holiday seasons looking after your furry loved one.
Higher rates start 01 DEC 2022 to 01 FEB 2023 peak periods. During this period rates will go up by +10%.
Main public holidays are at a higher set double rate, if your boarding falls on one or more of those days, you will be charged for that day/s in advance at time of booking, which will be applied on top of the 50% deposit amount payable at time of booking.
Higher rate public holiday days are: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day.
Availability won’t last long.
Regards,
Monique

April Easter bookings are filling FAST!
I have limited availability left, so if your needing your pet bordered who let you are away please dm to see what I have left available.
Also please note that during all holiday seasons, there is a high demand surcharge. Also no booking in penciled in into a 50% deposit has been made, once dates are penciled in and paid for these can’t be changed.
Thank you all in advance for your understanding. Hope you all are enjoying your long weekend

This is baby Cruz, a new addition to our family.
This is a perfect example of proper crate training, doors left open while we’re around and he chooses to be in there while we are on the couch watching tv. There are many benefits to crate train, confinement is only one of them.
Roo braids are a big win!

Meet Dusty the kelpie.
Dusty came to us under not the best circumstances, unfortunately his owners could no longer care for him due to his very high energy level and requirements. So I decided it was best I take him in, teach him what to do and what not to do, make him the best possible pet for his future family to be. I’m blown away by how fast his turned around and learnt new things, his loose leash walking has come a very long way in such a short period of time! It’s a journey but will totally be worth it
His the most sweetest boy 💙
A big thank you to .watts for organising his place in line to find his forever home
And .com.au for having us participate in your Saturday group classes! We appreciate you guys 🥰
Winston. Jax. Bella.
When it’s raining out, we switch to a wet day time table! The enrichment never stops 🙂🐶
Water fun in the beautiful weather the first day of the new year gave us ☀️🐶
Today’s weather called for one thing... fun in the sun! Water isn’t for every dog but these two sure enjoyed themselves, what a way to start the new year 🥰☀️
Mac the pug and Bru the frenchie are here on their own little vacay, I must say they are smooch balls but Mac has become my little shadow 🥰
Can’t stress this enough!
✨Fire works ✨
Every year we have fireworks on NYE, every year dogs escape and go missing.
Start training NOW.
Merry Christmas from our family to yours, it’s been a crazy day but we hope everyone had a great day and everyone’s stayed safe 🎄
So proud of you Jax!
Alpha + Kai 💙
Winston 🐾
Is here boarding for the weekend, such a lovely sweet boy he is 🥰 as usual Jax has made another friend, his so patient and gentle with our clients here 💙
So lets talk problem behaviour.
I usually get called out to deal with issues such as digging, biting, barking, door rushing, toilet training and jumping.
The root problem of most of these issues is, boundaries. At one time or another your dog has learned that this behaviour is acceptable, so he’s continued it. Ignoring this behaviour will not make it go away. These problem behaviours need fixing.
First we need to look at a few things:
Is your dog getting a daily walk? Not a free romp around the dog park, that isn’t a bonding experience for you both. I’m talking a walk around the block/ or a long stroll, where you’re asking your dog to sit at corners, focus attention on you and creating a great bond between the both of you. Every single dog breed NEEDS a daily walk. Your dog needs to burn off excess energy.
Is your dog getting enough mental stimulation? We have upsized our houses, and down sized our back yards. Therefore we need to provide mental stimulation for our dogs. Our dog breeds were bred to pull carts, herd sheep, fight Lions ect, they're smart, and their brains need to be worked! Puzzle toys, trick training, a walk together or even an obedience session together is a great way to keep your dogs mind active. KONG toys with peanut butter/ Vegemite/ pate/ banana/ yogurt/ dry dog biscuits/ treats/ water all frozen inside, is a great way to keep your dog entertained while you're out of the house.
Boundaries.
Everyone in the house needs to be on the same page with how the dog is trained. Is the dog allowed on the couch? Should the dog be eating raw meaty bones on the carpet? Where DO we want the dog to eat? Is the dog allowed to pull while we're on a walk?
To create boundaries, we need to determine what is expected of our dogs, and then go from there. If we don't want our dog jumping on the couch, an "uh-uh" and a collar correction (at the same time), place the dog where you want them, and praise for the correct behaviour. Timing is key.
This is a continued conversation I have with many clients about crating your dog, if introduced correctly (trained) to your dog from the beginning ideally, the crate becomes a comfortable, inviting and safe place for your dog, Jax is now 5 and a half years old and hasn’t been crated now for most of his life now due to the simple fact that the crate has more then served the many reason I crate trained him as a puppy for, for eg: house training was a big one and puppy destruction was another, transportation and confinement are just to name a few!
Yet Jax will want to spend time in his crate on his own will, anyone who knows me, knows the endless amount of luxury beds my spoilt boy has yet he chooses to go to his crate. In hopes to break this “cruel cage” stigma! Jax is a great ambassador for that.
Just like I believe if raw feeding as that’s where dogs evolved from hunting and feeding on their kill, dogs are also den animals, a proper inviting crate simulates the comfort of a den which can reduce many problems such as anxiety, fear and stress.
Also great for post surgery recovery and much more.
If you have any questions about crate training or would like to know more about how this could benefit your pooch feel free to send us a message, we’ll be more then happy to answer your equerries 🙂
