This was a big day for both dogs!

Fern and Indie had never met before, but each had an important lesson to work on.

Fern’s challenge: Stay calm and focused (don't let the intrusive thoughts win! 😅)

Indie’s challenge: Build confidence around new dogs, new people, and new environments.

It’s amazing how working side by side can help both dogs grow. Fern practiced impulse control, while Indie practiced bravery. ❤️

🐕 Meet Ruby — a rescue rediscovering calm and confidence! 💚

Ruby is a Shepherd cross Potcake who’s been with her family for four years. For the first while walks were enjoyable, until a few tough experiences changed everything. After a well-intentioned visit to the dog park followed by a couple of encounters being rushed by off-leash dogs, Ruby began to associate other dogs with stress and fear.

Over time, that turned into full-blown reactivity — lunging, barking, and intense anxiety whenever she saw another dog or even cars passing by. What used to be a simple walk became something her family dreaded.

But with the right structure and communication, transformation happens fast.

After just one private session, Ruby’s reactivity has significantly improved to the point where it's almost non-existent. She walked calmly and confidently past barking dogs, cars, and all the things that once triggered her.

Now two sessions in, her family’s dedication and consistency are paying off — the difference in just one week has been phenomenal! 🙌

Meet Indie 🐾

This handsome Shepherd cross has quite the story. He started life as a wild street dog in the Bahamas before being adopted into a loving home here in Canada. 🇧🇸➡️🇨🇦

When Indie joined our Board & Train program, he already had solid obedience thanks to previous training. Heel, sit, down, place — he knew it all. But his biggest struggles weren’t about following commands… they were about handling life.

Indie carried a lot of anxiety and fear that showed up as barking endlessly at guests, panicking when people moved around, and even trying to bolt when overwhelmed. His obedience couldn’t help him in those moments. He needed structure, clarity, and a chance to learn how to handle stress in a calm, confident way.

Fast forward to week 2 of his stay with us, and the change has already been incredible!

Visitors no longer send him into a frenzy, and walks are starting to become something he can truly enjoy. With consistency and leadership, Indie’s learning how to exist in the world with a clearer mind and calmer energy.

He’s not done yet, but he’s well on his way to becoming the balanced, confident dog we all know he can be!

✨ NEW TRAINING SPOTLIGHT: FERN ✨

Meet Fern — a 7-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer puppy who has fully embraced her main-character energy… all day, every day.

Fern’s current hobbies include:
➡️ Launching herself onto any human within range
➡️ Treating countertops like her personal tasting bar
➡️ Drag racing her humans down the street on walks
➡️ Operating in full “Zoomies Mode” from sun up to sun down

She’s officially joined our Freedom Program — our most comprehensive private training experience for owners ready to go ALL IN. This program is designed to deepen your connection, strengthen communication, and help you both finally breathe again.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be working on:
✅ Polite leash walking (goodbye shoulder-dislocating walks)
✅ Reliable recall so she can safely enjoy her freedom
✅ Calm, on-command relaxation at home (no more needing 3-hour runs to get a nap)
✅ Ending the jumping, countersurfing, and “Fern tornado” lifestyle

Because a dog shouldn’t need to be exhausted to be calm. They just need clarity. 💛

✨🐾 First-Day Feels for Miss Josie! 🐾✨

Meet Josie, a 7-month-old Shih Tzu × Maltese mix with a whole lot of personality packed into one fluffy body! 💕

Today was her very first training session, and we covered all the puppy ABCs: leash manners, confidence building, calm greetings, and how her family can be the best advocates for their little superstar ⭐️

Josie started off a bit shy, but by the end of our session she was strutting her stuff like she owned the sidewalk!  We love seeing those “lightbulb moments” when nervous pups realize the world isn’t so scary after all ❤️

We can’t wait to watch this sweet girl’s confidence keep growing! The best is yet to come! 🙌

Meet Wasabi, the adorable 17-week-old English Goldendoodle who’s here for our Puppy Foundations Board & Train Program!

While her family is away, this sweet girl is busy learning all the right things. From proper leash manners and crate comfort, to house manners, placework, recall foundations, and so much more.

Our Puppy Foundations program is all about setting pups up for success early by helping them build confidence, structure, and calm in every environment. And with that face, it’s safe to say she’s already melting hearts around here! 💕

Stay tuned for updates as Wasabi grows, learns, and blossoms during her time with us!

This young Rottweiler just started his private session program with us, and he’s ready to take on some big challenges!

Bruno’s list of “skills to work on” includes:
➡️ Reactivity around other dogs
➡️ Pulling like a freight train on leash
➡️ Zero impulse control
➡️ Mouthing, growling & pushy behaviors
➡️ House manners (because even Rotties need to be gentlemen at home!)

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be building a strong foundation for Bruno—covering everything from structured walks and recall, to place work, calm mindset, and learning how to make better choices overall.

This journey isn’t just about tackling bad habits. It’s about helping Bruno (and his family!) enjoy life together with less stress and more fun. ✨

Meet Oreo, the 2-year-old Shih Tzu!

She’s here alongside her packmate Indie, who’s already a proud board & train graduate. While Indie is enjoying his vacation stay, Oreo is hard at work, learning all the same great skills. From polite leash walking to mastering recall, to rocking her placework, and so much more.

We love seeing our grads like Indie come back for vacation boarding while new packmates like Oreo start their own journey. Watching each dog grow in their own way is what it’s all about! ❤️
