We're thrilled to announce that Brutus & Juni, the 3 year old sibling Cairn Terriers, have just completed their 3-week board and train program with us and are now back home with their family! 🏡✨️

Over the past 3 weeks, we've been working diligently on helping these two wonderful pups overcome their severe reactivity towards cars, other dogs, squirrels, etc, helping them learn that just because they can reach it, it doesn't mean they can eat it in the house or yard, and working through some separation anxiety. With consistent training, clear guidance and communication, and more than a few treats, Brutus and Juni have made incredible progress! 🐕🐾

We couldn't be prouder of their achievements and are so excited for them to continue their new positive behaviours at home.

Thank you to their dedicated family for trusting us with their adorable pups. We can't wait to see Brutus and Juni continue to thrive! ❤️🐶

🐾 Meet Bean! 🐾

Bean is a sweet 5-month-old Wheaten Poodle who just started her private session program with us. Due to a leg injury that left her immobile for 6 weeks, she missed out on a lot of essential early training. Bean currently struggles with basic commands, leash walking, and impulse control. She also tends to nip and mouth her family when she gets too excited.

Over the next 4 sessions, we'll be working closely with Bean and her family to lay the groundwork for her to become the best version of herself. Keep an eye on our page for updates on Bean's progress and training tips! 🐶

🐶 Meet Rusty! 🐶

Sorry for the silence, folks! We’ve been busy behind the scenes, but we're back and thrilled to introduce you to Rusty, the newest addition to our board and train program!

Rusty is a 1.5-year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever who’s here to work on his STRONG leash pulling (this boy has serious muscle!), dog and animal reactivity, excitability, jumping on guests, and to build some solid impulse control. Along with addressing these behaviours, we'll also be working on refreshing any previously learned obedience commands, working on his recall, and helping him learn how to switch off when needed, especially in the house!

🐾 Meet Gus! 🐾

Gus is a 7 month old German Short-haired Pointer who struggles with some pretty intense excitability, anxiety, and pulls on his leash like he's training to be an all-star sled dog! 🐶

After working with Gus for just a few minutes, we noticed that he's really a very sweet boy who just needed a little guidance and structure to become the gentleman that we knew he could be! 🎩

One of the biggest challenges that we see many families face with their dogs, specifically with high drive breeds like Pointers or Shepherds, is understanding that every dog breed was bred for a purpose. These genetic traits will always take some spot within their temperament and natural disposition. These traits, if ignored, can result in some pretty serious behaviours. This is why building a solid routine with structure and boundaries into their daily life is so important. Working on exercises that are mentally stimulating can go a long way with helping your dog focus these traits and improving their behaviours.

Now that Gus and his family are heading in the right direction, we can't wait to watch them improve their relationship in leaps and bounds!

🐾 Meet Piper the Bully and Archie the Cockapoo 🐶

This adorable duo recently joined our private session training program after developing some destructive tendencies at home when left to their own devices.

For this session, we focused heavily on helping this family learn how to build a stronger, more healthy relationship that will help curb these destructive and nuisance behaviours.

Multi-dog households can be a tough area for anyone to navigate! It takes an experienced eye to catch all the subtle cues that each dog gives us in order to see the full picture behind the behaviours. These small and subtle missed cues can develop into some pretty big behaviours!

We're thrilled to be a part of Piper and Archie's journey towards a happier, healthier relationship with their family!🐾

Meet Riggs, the handsome 3-year-old German Shepherd on a journey to overcome dog reactivity! 🐕

Despite previous training efforts, Riggs still struggles with some underlying issues, but we're here to help him thrive. 🌟

When working through reactivity with any dog, it requires patience, skill, and precise timing. With the right approach, we can help Riggs build a positive behavioural pattern to overcome his challenges. Together, we'll create a confident mindset and work towards a happier, more balanced pup! 🐾

Hugo is a 7 month old Bernese Mountain Dog pup who will be staying with us for the next 3 weeks to work on his leash walking manners, house manners, recall, crate anxiety, and some general nuisance puppy behaviours, a big one being eating anything and everything he can get his mouth on!

Welcome back Finnegan! 🐾

Finn is a 6 month old Golden Retriever puppy who has just started his 3 week board and train program with us. We first met Finn and his family in Decemeber during his puppy foundations intro session, and we couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to spend more time with this sweet boy!

Over the next 3 weeks we'll be focusing on everything from his leash pressure to help his family achieve an effortless structured walk, to getting him into a better overall state of mind to help him become the perfect family companion that we know he can be!

Meet Wilhelmina (Willie), the 3-year-old Boston Terrier who tackled her dog and human reactivity head-on during her first training session today!

After some leash pressure exercises to get her focused and break the freight train pulling patterns she had built up over the past 3 years of her life, we then dove deep into teaching new associations with her triggers. Within just a one hour session, Willie showed HUGE improvements!

She still has a ways to go with her dog reactivity, but she's already well on her way to being the happy, well-balanced pup that we know she can be!

🌟 Welcome back, Saber the working line German Shepherd! 🐾

After his impressive performance during his 3-week board and train this past December, Saber returned for another action-packed week with us while his family soaked up some vacation vibes! 🏖️🐕

What a great week of fun, energy, and more unforgettable moments with this amazing pup!

We still have another day with this handsome boy, which we plan to fill with even more love and fun! 🐾❤️

🌟 Guess who came back for another round of tail-wagging adventures?!

It's Ben the Golden Retriever! 🐾

After his amazing progress during his 3-week board and train last October, Ben has been back with us for the past week to spread more love and laughter while his family takes a well-deserved vacation! 🏝️🐶

What a fun-filled week it's been! 🎉

We love it when our board and train graduates come back for boarding! Not only is it great to see how they're doing, (because let's be real here..we definitely fall in love with all the pups who walk through our door!) but it gives us the opportunity to polish up any struggle points they may be having at home while they're here! Just another perk to our board and train program!

Welcome Gus!

Gus is a 15 month old Golden Retriever who struggles with some general young Golden traits such as extreme impulsivity and erratic behaviours, excitability, pulling on the leash, chewing on things he's not supposed to, counter surfing, and poor recall, just to name a few!

Over the next 3 weeks, we'll be working on the leash pressure during his walks, recall, general obedience and most importantly, we'll be focusing on providing some solid structure/boundaries in just about every aspect of his life to bring him to a far more manageable and relaxed state of mind in all situations! 🧘‍♂️

And we're back after the holidays for another session with Sully, the 2 year old Rottweiler! 🐾

We spent some time with Sully and his family back in November to work through some pretty intense human, dog, and vehicle reactivity. To make it even more of a struggle for his family, this big guy had a nasty habit of redirecting on his handlers when he didn't get his way.

Within the first 2 minutes of this session, all we could say was WOW! This family has put in a TON of work over the last month and a half! From lunging at every car, person, and dog that they passed by on their walks, they can now walk safely and confidently down the side of a busy street!

We're so proud of the progress this family has made in such a short period of time!

Sully's dog reactivity is still a work in progress, but with the effort this family is putting in, we have no doubt that we'll be seeing another dramatic transformation when we see them next!

Great job Team Sully!! 🙌🌟🔥

Guess who's back?! Elvis has returned to spend some time with us over the holidays!

Elvis previously was here for a board and train with us when he was a puppy and has been doing great with the foundation that we set! During his stay with us, we'll be polishing up some of the finer details of his structured walk, recall, and placework.

We're excited to spend the holidays with this cutie!

Saber has gone home with a whole new set of skills!

After 3 weeks of working through Saber's anxiety, working hard to build his confidence, teaching recall, and crate training, among other important life skills, Saber went home a new dog!

Due to how complicated Saber is, his family has quite a bit of homework to continue on with, but we'll be there with them every step of the way!

After just being home for a few days, Saber is adjusting well back into his normal life but with a far healthier relationship with his family.

We can't wait to watch this boy and his family get better and better!

We're a little behind with our posts, so please bear with us! 😅 With that being said.. 🥁

Welcome Saber! 🐾

Saber is a 7 month old Working Line German Shepherd, so as you can imagine, this boy is HIGH ENERGY!

Some of his family's chief concerns were his excitability, his inability to shut off even after hours of extensive exercise, constantly being into everyone's business, jumping up on everyone he meets including his own family, and his conduct around other dogs as he unfortunately had a bad experience as a puppy with some other dogs.

Saber is just wrapping up his 3rd week with us and has come a LONG way since the beginning of his board and train. From a dog who couldn't sit still and was an absolute powerhouse on the walk, to now being able to lay on place for hours without extensive exercise beforehand and loose leash walks, this guy will be a breath of fresh air for his family. He still has another few days for us to really perfect his recall and high distraction work, but wow, what a difference!

His family will come for their 1st go-home session tomorrow and we can't wait to really start getting them into working with him!

Meet Ochi! Ochi is a 3 year old Cavapoo who struggles with dog and human reactivity, anxiety, and resource guarding her space, which has resulted in some over the top responses such as snarls and nips when disturbed. Ochi and her family are 3 sessions into their 10 session program, and already the change in her has been phenomenal! Her walks have gone from explosive and overstimulating to calm and relaxing.
