Here we are, 2 years later. Lots of blood, sweat & beers. So many trials & tribulations to this point. So many hurdles. It started off as a dream & now it's simply a reality. Built for comfort, not speed. Time to enjoy the hobby but not without the most heartfelt thanks to all those involved first.

My wife Rhiannon & our beautiful daughter Florence. The amount of hours you've allowed me to work away on this project is simply unfathomable. You've never stood in the way of my dreams. Thank you SO much for your love & support ❤

To whom it may concern,

You may have noticed my lack of presence on here for some time. That's because I have spent a LOT of time recently reflecting on what Cichlids actually mean to Tasmanians, the consensus? Apparently not much! Not enough support to warrant the sheer volume of effort to justify the existence for a specialised business in this area. I've decided to pull back from any sales based on available stock, pre order or enquiry. Instead this page will represent a new beginning on getting back to basics, enjoying the hobby, a blog if you like.

I will no longer be selling to the Tasmanian public on their terms, only mine. If you decide to follow my story it will be based on the species I most highly value.

What this means for you is, if you share the same taste in Cichlids as myself, the species shown here on this page in the future will be available for local sale at my discretion. Apart from that the doors are closed to the general public.

I will now be supplying my lines of fish to whole salers & shops on the mainland only.

My boutique fish farm build is nearing completion which will contain approximately 5000 litres of water specialising in mostly species from Lake Tanganyika.

I must thank my family, friends & all my customers, past & present who have backed me to this point.

We tried hard but this 🐟 is spent.

As majority of you know I'm predominantly an African keeper but when the chance arose to get some F1 Hypselecara Temporalis from the Rio Ucalayli I jumped on the opportunity not because I had any desire for this particular species but because it's imperative people like myself do our part for the hobby to ensure generations to come can enjoy a line bred pure species. This is my first time spawning any American Genred Cichlid.
