Charlie & Bams have been clients of ours since arriving in Australia. We refer to eachother as Squidlegs as combined we have 10 limbs and are one 💖
Bams and Charlie begun with pet sitting followed by adventure walks now reactivity training. Snowman as their support dog they are starting to let their defensive guard down and be able to be neutral.
Looking forward to our next adventure 😀

It’s Elaine here from Rescue Hub, and I have some great news to share…

BINDI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!

Bindi is our little “pocket rocket” we saved from the local pound just over two years ago.
Since being with us, she has lived in foster homes, four to be exact!
Through no fault of her own, she had to continue to settle in new homes with new families but none were ever going to be her forever home.
This all changed in September 2024, when Andy and Helen came to meet Bindi with the intention of fostering her.
Andy and Helen later told me it was “love at first sight”, Bindi happily went home with them to start her new life.
Andy and Helen have been working hard on Bindi’s training (with the help of Waggy Travels Dog Training & Adventure Walks). She is always eager to please and is doing so well.
Bindi went on holiday with Andy and Helen and you could see from the photos and happy updates that they were becoming very attached to her. When I asked if I should start to promote Bindi, Andy asked me to hold off as they were hoping to adopt her.
Then in December, Helen contacted me to let me know she would like to start the adoption process, so that Bindi could be officially adopted for Christmas!
Andy received a card from Helen, stating that he was now Bindi’s registered owner on Christmas Eve…to say that he was thrilled is an understatement!
Here are his words: “Helen has just notified me of my present. The greatest gift of my entire life. We are officially now Bindi’s parents. This is the first time in my life I have finally become an official owner of my own dog. This is the greatest gift I ever could have received”.

🎄Last night, Bouncer made his way to the Waggy Compound after an incredible journey. His guardian angel, vet nurse Talia, drove 10 hours to bring him here, and we cannot thank her and the amazing team at King St Vet Murbah enough for their determination and compassion.

Bouncer was surrendered at the vet clinic to be euthanised, but they saw his spark and fought tirelessly to save his life. Their selfless actions have given Bouncer the chance to find his forever family.

Now, this bouncy boy is ready to start his next chapter. With his gentle heart and eagerness to love, Bouncer deserves a home where he can thrive. Let’s help him find it this Christmas.

Elvisisis-From Heartbreak to Healing🐾

Elvis wasn’t at the shelter long, in just a few months, he completely stole my heart. 💙
Rescued after enduring a terrible ordeal where he was stabbed, this brave boy showed nothing but resilience and love as he recovered from his wounds.

While he healed, we worked on his recall and gently addressed his mouthing tendencies during short, calming walks. Despite everything he had been through, Elvis was a bundle of love—always ready to brighten your day with his snuggles.

BOOTS from Rescue Hub has just completed an Adoption After Care Package with 🥳.

Boots’ journey began after spending 9 long months in kennels, following his surrender. With love, patience, and support, he’s made incredible progress—and the best part? Boots has formed an amazing bond with his adopter, becoming the ultimate best friend and greatly improving his health along the way! 💙

✨ Our Adoption After Care Package included: 🐕 Facilitating Boots’ meet & greet, along with careful dog matching. 🏞️ Adventures focused on loose lead walking and recall training. 🤝 Structured socialisation and fun, controlled play sessions with our pack. 🚗 Confidence-building exercises to help Boots conquer his fear of getting into the car.

We've been busy at Waggys!

First, we waved off half our pack and team as they embarked on their adventure around Australia 👋.

Asher, who has been part of our virtual training program during his adoption trial, officially has his forever family 🥳.

We visited Sophie, alumni, who was thrilled to be reunited with her spotty friend, Snowman 🐄

• An at-home training session with Mia, who is available for adoption via
(see picture 4) 💛

• A private socialization session for Raven, adopted from Rescue Hub two years ago 🐦‍⬛

• A fly-in visit to see Lucy, a forever foster due to her age and health, with the most wonderful family ❤️‍🩹

• Adventure walks and controlled socialization for Stewie, who we saved from certain death last year 👶

• A follow-up session for Bindi from Rescue Hub, working on recall and engagement outdoors—poised to be a foster fail 🤞

• A quick visit to Ziggy, who has had many pet sits with us over the years 🐅

• Dorito, who completed our foster follow-up training, has found a new carer with garden access to continue his progress 🚽 also available for adoption

• We added a new pack member Frankie and looking forward to learning more about cat behaviour & training 😻

• A follow-up session for Boots from Rescue Hub, who’s on a Foster-to-Adopt trial and working through his fear of getting in the car 🚘

• And finally, a visit to Jeremy (now Jacoby), who we fostered 18 months ago 🐺.

We love seeing familiar faces and continuing to support our clients beyond their training period.

We took little Stewie on an adventure walk this weekend. Stewie was saved from certain death, rehabilitated by us Waggy Travels Dog Training & Adventure Walks and adopted into a loving home with a fur sister last year. Stewie is dog selective and unsure of strangers which limits his walking options, however our adventure walks are designed for dogs like stewie where they are able to safely explore more of the world. Whilst Learning social skills and channeling his high energy needs.

Adventure Walks include pick up and drop off from your home, sensory enrichment, swimming, hiking whilst working on behavioural issues and awesome photo/ video updates.

Gus joined us at a young age and, like many "COVID pups," he struggled with separation anxiety and uncertainty about the outside world. When his mum returned to work, Gus began attending daycare, and we incorporated training into our daily routine. From learning fun tricks to gradually desensitizing him to being alone for short periods, we focused on building his confidence and comfort.

On days when his mum worked from home, we went on exciting adventure walks. These outings helped Gus explore the world around him and nurtured his love for swimming and splashing in puddles! 🐾 Over time, Gus also developed a special bond with Evie, another dog I cared for. They often shared joint adventures and daycare days, along with their other furry friends.

I was lucky enough to pet-sit Gus occasionally, looking after him and his family of chickens. Throughout our time together, we crafted a training plan that helped him feel more at ease being left at home for longer periods, and we strengthened his recall skills. I’m truly grateful to have been part of Gus’s journey, watching him grow into the confident, handsome companion he is today 💛
