Throwback photo to a cat no longer with us. Foozle lived 15 years with us, and he was the good boy of cats. The last few of years of his life, he had hyperthyroidism, and I learned a lot about caring for a cat with this illness. I've written several articles on the Bloom website about it.

Noob is not ready for Monday! 😂
The weather is so nice this weekend, with a high of 86. For Phoenix, that's a great break from the ☀️ heat. Cecil went for an early morning walk and checked on all the 🌳
trees in the area. He stretched out most of the day on the elevated dog beds and relaxed with Mei Mei. Noob played in the yard.

Busy week ahead, but for now, Noob would like five more minutes 😴

Cecil and Mei Mei are a bonded pair 🐕🐕. Cecil was about 2 years old when Mei came to live with us. She was 8 weeks old and had not done as well as her litter 😭. She was a third of their size and rarely played with them. When people came near the litter, she would hide.

However, when I brought her 🏡 home, Cecil instantly fell in love 😍 with her. He would spend all his time near her, starry eyed 🤩, while we waited for her to get large enough to play. They've never been apart since for any length of time.

Mei Mei has never learned to 'speak dog' that well 🤷‍♀️, but Cecil is endlessly patient with her. In return, she cleans his ears and eyes every night before bed. 💤

Mei Mei is now 8 years old and these two will be living out the rest of their years side by side. ☀️🌙

Cecil loves this old couch from Ikea. It was new, in the house when he first came to live with me and he loved it from the beginning. When he was younger, he would hide random items behind the throw pillows.

Eventually, I wanted to get rid of the couch, but Cecil enjoyed it too much for me to do that. But he also loves outside when the weather is nice, so the couch ended up on the covered patio. He has enjoyed many naps outside on that couch since then.

One day, it'll have to be replaced, but for now, he still looks forward to the cooler months to spend time with his couch.

Mei Mei has a lot of 🫣 anxiety, always has. She has been with me since she was 8 weeks old 🥰 and has had a good life, but she was 1/3 (yep, one third 🤯) the size of her littermates and never socialized properly with them. She hid from everyone since she was just a few weeks old.

She settled in quickly at home, though, in part thanks to her instant BFF, Cecil 🐕. However, outings still made her anxious.

Here, she had been at someone else's🏡house with me, and she'd come out of hiding on her own 😍 and eventually💤dozed off on the couch. Such a big milestone for a tiny dog. 💕

Noob rides in the 🚗 car so well! We've tried other car seat covers but this one is our 💕 favorite, even though it's half the price of other ones we've had in the past. The material is much nicer, and it has several configurations for how to install it, depending on your needs.

Grue came from a feral colony in that someone was feeding but refused to spay/neuter. So many kittens! Grue stayed with his mama until he was weened, but I've been with him since before his eyes were opened waiting for him to be ready. He has been an indoor, loved cat since.

Mei Mei has had Moose since she was a 🐕 puppy, and despite all the dozens and dozens of stuffed animals, this one became her 💕 absolute favorite. She💤sleeps with it next to her, snuggles with it, and often carries it around the house. Once, I put it in the washer, and since then, every time I start cleaning, she holds onto Moose. 😂
