Ride #5 love her she is for sale
Opening yourself up to taking a lesson/accepting criticism/ instruction can make you feel vulnerable, I personally try to push rider's to help them move up, be safer and hopefully then to gain confidence in themselves. I also believe that receiving criticism or trying a new way in doing something is a valuable tool in progression and I participate in lessons as often as I can. She wanted horses to take a deep breath when she stopped and dropped the reins, so they can continue on with a fresh relaxed brain. To this day it's still the phrase I hear when I feel horse getting hot or tense, yes horses need to be pushed, yes there are times you have to have that fight or conversation but at the end they need to understand their job and be able to do so clear headed. 3yr old mare that knows she is beautiful packing my baby around confidentiality, relaxed and my happy place
