Nutrition plans need to be shaped individually. It always starts with free choice quality hay, then a complete ration balancer. Blood panels and fecals ran, dentals checked after all that's completed I will start to add extras. Big dee 45 day glow up, still a long ways to go.

Consider the lease option.
I'm always amazed at the amount of calls I get looking for the perfect "beginner, all-around, bomb proof horse" that needs to be 6-10 years of age and on a budget of $3500 (FYI that is just about impossible to find.) These same people don't want to consider a lease, now the only leases I personally offer are in house or at another barn with a trainer that can fix a bad day before it becomes a bad habit.
I try and explain to all my lesson students this option allows them to find out if their child is truly interested and will stay with it when the weather gets bad and work gets hard. Beginner riders I encourage to half lease a school master for a year, at the end of the year riders are going to know if they are going to be dedicated for the long-haul, have an idea of the discipline they'd like to pursue, and the riding ability has improved enough that they can purchase a horse with more athletic ablity.
I've always had horses that owners are going through a bit of hardship and aren't able to ride as much as they liked, the consignment horses that needs a few shows under its belt, or breeders that want a little more proven show record.
It is generally a great option for everyone involved so long as the trainer is advocating for horses welfare 1st. Photos of some of horses in my program this year that were leased for show summer.

6 years ago we signed our lives away to buy the barn, I wish I could say we are checking all of are 'improvments' off, and that it's all been fairly tails and smiles. It has been an adventure, occasionally feels like torture, but it still is providing opportunities to alot of horses and riders that wouldn't be available. Ryan, myself, Tyler, and Myles thank everyone that has helped shape it into what it is today!

Now that most of our big shows are over, we have limited spots available this winter for training, lessons and I have a couple of lease horses available. Large indoor, 12x12 stalls, private turn outs available, training horses receive pemf treatments included in training, customized individual feed programs available.

5yr old bay grade mare, had great hoof and bone structure. She wtc with no issues (canter needs more development) started on a neck rein, we feel she'd be best suited for home with a job, she's athletic enough to be great barrel horse or pony club mount. When I work a horse I want them to have an understanding of their job that they can go out and do it with confidence with the rider using minimal aids. Light effective aids for happy horses.

A lot of the investments we make for the farm are stored in a machine shed only to be seen a few times a year, this one is no different except my excitement for it and our quest to put up the best hay we possibly can. Large square bales for the win!

Opening yourself up to taking a lesson/accepting criticism/ instruction can make you feel vulnerable, I personally try to push rider's to help them move up, be safer and hopefully then to gain confidence in themselves. I also believe that receiving criticism or trying a new way in doing something is a valuable tool in progression and I participate in lessons as often as I can. Our next camp is this Tuesday the 12-14. Its from 10 am-1pm, suitable for all experience levels. We focus on riding and incorporate horse care and allow riders to try out different disaplines. Spots available

I've been incorporating "horse yoga" into horse camp, it's a great way to do something together beginner's -advanced and it creates lots of laughs. So today we tried the barrel/trash can challenge with our "yoga." Helmets are a must.
Never be afraid to try something new, because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know

Our last camp of June we have openings and will resume July 5th. Camps are Tuesday -thursday 10 am -1pm. Riders are welcome to join one day or all 3 days a week and have a minimum of 1hr with individual instruction to each rider.

Due the heat we have made the decision to cancel horse camp for Tuesday so it will only run wensday and Thursday. This is also our last camp for June we resume July 5 and there are still a couple left openings

Horse camp was a blast, lots of riding laughing and friends. Next camp begins June 14 and we have a few spots open still.
