UPDATE ON MILO…..He’s found a new home!!
THANK YOU ALL WHO HAVE HELPED!

Good Day All!

We have another pooch who needs re-homing!!

I present Milo…he’s a very sweet boy. Please see details below:

Owner got him from Scott’s smith’s animal expo his dob is 12/02/19. His mom was Maltese chihuahua and dad was yorkie sh*tzu. Or the other way around I’m not 100% who was what but I know he is a mix of those 4 breeds. He is a huge lover boy and lovesss to cuddle. He has to sleep with a blanket because he likes to be cozy. Usually if I can’t find him in the house it’s because he has buried himself under a blanket! So we are always cautious when moving blankets and sitting because he is likely under one haha. He also will come up to you and nudge you with his head when he wants to be pet and loved. His favorite thing to do is play fetch with a tennis ball and he could literally play all day long. He will also bring u the ball to let you know he wants to play. He is good on boats and in water. I have a life jacket for him as well. He does get car sick on long car rides but I give him medicine from the vet when we travel and since then have not had an issue. He does great at the groomers and I’ve never had any grooming issues. I take him to doggy day spa in oswego. I have taken him to the dog beach in FL and he loved running around in the water and with other dogs and he does great off leash he like to stay near us and doesn’t wander off. I have also taken him to off leash dog parks and he walk right beside us. He is a little timid around bigger dogs but I think that is because he is little but he has never show any aggression and once he gets to know them and warm up he’s completely fine. He eats dry dog food and I just fill the bowl up whenever it’s empty and he free feeds and never over eats. If he’s hungry he will push his bowl around with his nose. He is also crate trained if I say bed or go in your bed he runs straight in even if we are in another room. He does bark a lot but I feel like that is typical of a small dog. The only issue I have with him is the marking and recent nipping at the kids ankles so I feel like a home with small children might not be a good fit but he has never been aggressive but when small kids go to pet him he acts scared and backs away.

No health issues and he’s 10-15 lbs.

Here’s some additional info

Veterinarians and news outlets in multiple states across the country are reporting patients with respiratory signs that are non-responsive to standard medical treatment and at times more serious than expected. No specific etiology has been documented at this time. Below are some Frequently Asked Questions with answers to help you address any concerns you have in your hospitals and with your clients.

What are veterinarians seeing?
Veterinarians report patients with 3 different possible presentations:
• Chronic mild to moderate tracheobronchitis with a prolonged duration (6 to 8 weeks or longer) that is minimally or non-responsive to antibiotics
• Chronic pneumonia that is minimally or non-responsive to antibiotics
• Acute pneumonia that rapidly progresses often leading to poor outcomes in as little as 24 to 36 hours

What is causing this?
The underlying etiology is currently unknown. Some experts think there is a viral etiology due to the lack of response to commonly used antibiotics. Respiratory PCR testing has resulted in variable results, often with entirely negative panels. This may be due to testing too late in the disease process, or a viral/bacterial agent that is not detected by our currently available panels. To avoid missing a potential diagnosis, it is recommended to submit testing as soon as clinical signs are first noted.

Canine Respiratory Infectious Disease Complex (CRIDC) is a common problem that has periodic outbreaks. There are at least 9 different bacterial and viral organisms that have been linked to CIRDC in the canine population. CIRDC organisms are transmitted by respiratory droplets. Cases are more common in animals in housed settings like shelters, boarding, or training facilities.

How do these patients present?
Initial symptoms include coughing, sneezing, nasal and/or ocular discharge, fever, and lethargy. Pneumonia can develop as well.

The Oregon Department of Agriculture has received more than 200 case reports from veterinarians of a mysterious canine infectious respiratory disease since the middle of August.

Dear Loved Ones,

My Mom, our rock, the ultimate matriarch, Carol Bakala has, “flown home”, as she would say.

The black & white photo is from 1959.
The color photo was taken exactly 4 weeks from yesterday, 2023.

How did Carol Sue stay so beautiful and young at heart all of these years?? Because she was full of sass, class and a heart of gold that continually gave and gave and gave, until it couldn’t give anymore.

Mom, you will be sorely missed forever. I will cherish our memories and the lessons you’ve taught us all, for the remainder of my days.

Thank you could never cover “it” but thank you….for EVERYTHING.

I know, as you have said one million times before…”Not to worry, all will be ok”.

Until we meet again….give ‘em hell till I get there!
