Here in Oregon, the cheapest grocery store eggs are between $7-8/dz. I have a flock of 45 free ranging chickens who are fed a high quality organic diet and are well cared for as beloved pets. I charge $7/dz for their eggs and we are STILL deep in the whole. But we love what we do here at Little Deuce Coop of Sandy - Oregon and want to share the love our birds bring us. Support your local chicken keepers whenever possible! Find a keeper in your area who loves and cares for their animals.

We had a rooster scuffle sometime between last night and early this morning. Little Pip Squeak had his comb nipped and it bled all over his beautiful white feathers. Chickens are attracted to red so he had to have a bath & blowout to make sure no one continued to peck at him. He really enjoyed his spa time and has rejoined the flock.

Very impressed with our new layers! Left is from our Silverdudd’s Blue pullet & right from our Blue Copper Marans pullet. Both came to us as chicks from Alchemist Farm & Garden!

Our beautiful little Splash Silverdudd’s Blue started laying the cutest little pullet egg. She’s a keeper! Now to give her a name!

Help me name my favorite boy. He’s a 5 month old Black Copper Marans. He’s HUGE, loves cuddles, and is very curious and approachable.

We enjoyed walking through fields & gardens filled with beautiful dahlias this past weekend at the Swan Island 2024 Annual Dahlia Festival at Swan Island Dahlias. Enjoyed it so much we barely took any pictures.
