Good Morning!

Spring has been off to a busy start with all the excitement and anticipation of summer and all the new and exciting opportunities we had in store.

For the moment, all that has changed. Last week, a person I was hoping to hire left before they even started, which left us with a new challenge. We are currently short-staffed and are working tirelessly to find professional, trustworthy, and dependable staff.

With this being said, we are asking for some help:

1. Overnight Sittings- At this time, we are fully booked for all overnights for the summer (June/July/August). If we had already spoken to you regarding the overnights (or tentative), you are all set. For anyone looking for potential overnights, we can add you to our cancellation list and let you know of any changes ASAP.

2. Cat Sits/Dog Walks- again, we are trying the best we can to fulfill all the needs of clients and their pets, but we also need time off ourselves. Please let us know ASAP of any cat sittings you may need. We can only take on so many visits in a day and any last-minute (or weekend) requests, may be denied, and/or tweaked.

3. PetPocketbook- I can’t stress this enough- PLEASE put all requests for cat sits, and dog walks/drop-ins into PetPocketbook. I can’t keep track of when I’m getting PP requests, text messaging, emails, Facebook Messaging, Instagram DM, or brief mentions passing by. If you need help when it comes to PetPocketbook, let me know and I’ll be happy to show you how to utilize requests. For overnight requests, please text me (until I can figure out a better system of funneling overnight requests).

With all this said, things can change at the drop of a hat and all this can change for the better. If you know of someone who is trustworthy, professional, social, and reliable, and would be a great fit for a part-time position, please send them our way!

It’s Catnip Wishes & Cookie Dreams, LLC is looking to expand its team of
professional pet sitters and caregivers in the North Shore/North of Boston area. If you are a veterinary technician or vet tech student, you may be
perfect for our current pet sitter job opening. We are looking for someone who wants to help owners
provide the highest level of care for their pets when they can’t do it themselves. You should have
experience working in the veterinarian Technology industry and be knowledgeable about the general
needs of dogs, cats, and small exotics. You will be responsible for offering general care for a range of
animals, along with walking and cleaning up after dogs of every breed and size. You should love the
outdoors and enjoy playing with pets who are energetic. Our pet sitting service strives to provide
high-level care while offering our employees a flexible schedule.

Pet Sitter Job Responsibilities
● Meeting with pet owners to gather pertinent pet care information and discuss pet sitting duties.
● Travel to customers’ homes and visit with their cats, dogs, birds, or other pets.
● Exercise pets with leashed walks and/or play.
● Care for pets based upon client instructions, which may be very detailed and must be followed
exactly as given
● Administer supplements and/or medications to pets in food or otherwise
● Collect and dispose of pet waste (cleaning/refreshing kitty litter for cats, changing cage paper for
birds, picking up waste on walks with dogs, etc.)
● Document pet care with dates, times, and services rendered in a neat and professional manner
● Providing regular updates to pet owners, which include communicating with them telephonically
or via email as well as sending video clips and photos.
● Promptly notifying pet owners of pet illnesses or injuries that may occur.
● Accompanying pets to the veterinary for check-ups or vaccinations (if deemed necessary)
● Respect clients’ homes and personal property when on-site offering pet sitting services, including
cleaning up any pet messes
● Light cleaning at clients’ home (i.e. vacuum, wash dishes, sanitize high touch surfaces, etc)
● Provide additional customer service as requested by clients, which may include picking up mail,
watering plants, and opening and closing blinds or curtains

Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
● Previous experience working with animals, especially large dog breeds
● Must love animals
● Be at least 18 years old
● Have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
● Pass criminal background check
● Ability to work varying schedules
Preferred:
● Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
● Be able to work on short notice availability
●Have or be working towards your Veterinary Technician License is a plus

Pay Range
You will be paid based on your prior experiences and the duties you are completing.

Pay ranges from $18+/hr for walking/visits to $60+/night for overnight stays.
